Cute Card Thursday - Ribbontastic!
I have had a need lately to make a card with a metal key on it. Not sure why?? Oh well, here it is! Michaels has the coolest jewelry charms and as soon as I saw the key I knew it was the one! This card has my favorite elements on it... glitter, angels wings, sewing and beautiful tea stained ribbon!!! So beautiful and so vintage! My favorite style of creating. This card is for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge 101 - Ribbon-Tastic! The challenge was to simply use ribbon and it is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique. No problem here, I LOVE RIBBON!!

Mojo Monday Card Challenge - MOJO127.
Soooo many fun card challenges to enter!! I'm trying so hard to follow them and play along. Today along my blog travels, I found this one. Mojo Monday Card Challenge This challenge is for their square or round card, keyword MOJO127. Since I just LOVE making square cards, I thought this would be the perfect challenge to join! This card uses one of my favorite heart die cuts. I love the way it looks tilted to one side and adorned with a gold rose!
I even had a chance to use my new frog to display the card while I photographed it. Conveniently it came in the mail just as I was about to photograph the card! Enjoy and have a great day!

Cards, Cards, and More Cards!
I've been lucky lately and I've been able to spend some extra time making cards from time to time. I've been posting my "card challenge" cards to my blog but not my "just for fun" cards. Now I'd like a little extra time to get these cards over to my Etsy account. For now, I'll just show them off over here. The first one I made for my cousin. I just got the Baby Button Bits stamp set from Papertrey Ink and I've been dying to play with it. I love the color scheme of pale green and lavender!
The next 2 cards were actually a collaborative effort by my mom and I. She fell in love with card making but she feels she needs guidance to make them. She is very talented but unsure of all the supplies and techniques. We had fun making these 2 cards. Ice cream cones are her favorites!
This next card was done completely by my mom! She finally got to make a card without my input! She makes adorable cards... don't you think so?
OK this next card was hard to make. I put a restriction on myself to make a card with the idea of "minimalism" I wanted a simple clean card with a cute embellishment that could stand alone and here it is! I love these mason jar stamps! No foof on this card but I really like the way it came out!
And finally one last card that I enjoyed making completely! I just love the pale pink colors and the glittered background! This type of card is definitely a favorite of mine! Feminine with lots of foof!
Well, I hope someone gets a chance to look at all of these cards and enjoy them! I certainly enjoyed making ALL of them! Back to the crafting table!

FROGS and Cards
Ok... while I feel very bad for all of the folks up north who are having *SNOW* for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I would like to say Thank You for all of our cooler Florida weather that you have been sending our way! My naturally curly/frizzy hair is enjoying the weather too! I must admit though we are running out of warm clothes and for the first winter EVER, our jackets are just not heavy enough to keep us warm... WEIRD!! On a happy note I had a chance to create some cards with my Mom yesterday. When she saw my latest CPS card challenge card, she fell in love with it and wanted to create one herself. She also wanted to create a card that was based on a quilt she made while she was still quilting. It had an ice cream cone on it with a bunch of colorful scoops of ice cream. I love how these 2 cards came out and best of all so does she! We really had fun together and she wants to make more cards! Here are the two cards she made and I'll try to take a picture of the gorgeous quilt she made with the ice cream scoops!
I just love how these cards came out! The glittered ice cream scoops are my favorite!! Glitter, sheer ribbons, buttons....that's all I need to be happy! I also received my shipment from Papertrey Ink a couple of days ago. I can't wait to play with my new stamp set, "Baby Button Bits"! I also ordered a package of pink vintage buttons and some epoxy stickers as well! And thanks to Dawn McVey I now know what a frog is and I am waiting for my very own frog in the mail! A frog is that spikey thing you see on blogs to hold cards while you take pictures of them. Dawn did a whole blog on frogs and you can click here to see that link. I ordered my frog from http://www.save-on-crafts.com/. Here is a picture of the frog that I ordered.
Dawn is a very talented artist and her cards are GORGEOUS! Check out her blog here. There is so much to know and learn and I'm having so much fun learning! I love blog hopping as much as I do creating my cards! Another happy note, my Etsy shop has seen some business lately! There is something so wonderful about selling your very own creations! I LOVE ETSY! Thank you to all who have visited and bought cards!
Have a great day!

CPS Card Sketch #154
Good Morning! What a very BUSY 3 day weekend. Of course I extended it by staying up until 2 in the morning making cards! I do LOVE making cards!!! This weeks CPS sketch is great. I HAD to stay up to finish this card. For some reason when I saw the three small squares lined up on the card, I immediately saw petite butterflies punched from sheet music. Crazy where inspiration comes from, huh?
Anyway here is sketch # 154 from CPS this week sponsored by Keep In Touch Card Shop.
And here is my version of this sketch. I LOVE the saying on this card!
♥Love is like a Butterfly, It goes where it pleases, and it pleases wherever it goes♥

Wedding cards are one of my favorites due to my love of everything "pretty"! Ok enough chatter... On to the card.

MY FIRST CARD CHALLENGE!
Here is my version of sketch # 153 from CPS and Papertrey Ink.
MY FIRST CARD CHALLENGE!
I guess I caught my "crafty" bug from my Mom. She loves to quilt, crochet, knit, sew (take your pick) while I make my cards and paper crafts and we always have so much fun together! Maybe a little too much fun! She always says "We're going to get arrested for having too much fun!" Well today the cops were at my door! I had soooo much fun making this card that I almost got arrested! This is not my first card but it is my very first "card challenge" and I have to say, I enjoyed it completely! It's nice to come up with my own ideas but I really enjoyed working from a sketch. I absolutely love cupcakes and thanks to my mom for teaching me how to sew, I also LOVE stitching on my cards! The other technique I enjoy is using empty cereal boxes or granola bar boxes to re-enforce my die cut shapes. It gives them a certain dimension that I just love to "pop-up" on my cards! Thank you Reese's Puffs for this adorable cupcake! Also a big Thank You to CPS and Papertrey Ink for sponsoring this challenge!

I also wanted to include a picture of these adorable iPod Candy Valentines that my daughter and I made for her classmates. I always enjoy Valentine's Day because my daughter and I love to search for cute Valentines to make instead of the boxed version from the stores. We wrapped boxes of sweetheart candies in pink and blue paper and thanks to Disney's Family Fun magazine, printed out the templates for the playlists and control circle.
Have a great day!

LisaWell, here it is my first blog! I've been thinking of starting one for a while now and I guess this is as good a time as any! I have been crafting for about 10 years now. My passion started with Invitations and Announcements, moved on to scrapbooking and has evolved into cardmaking. I have a cozy craft room that I escape to when the kids are sleeping or in school and I cherish my time in that room. I have been following some wonderful blogs lately and I can't wait to join in on the fun. I will be posting my card and project creations and I will post the links to my favorite blogs. There are so many talented and creative ladies out there taking card challenges from various websites and my goal is to start entering these challenges as well. I have been selling my cards and tags on a wonderful website that sells handmade items. It's called Etsy and they have so many talented artists selling their wares! Not too many sales but I am having a blast doing what I love! See you in the blogosphere!
