Ok two posts in one day, I'm having way too much fun! I decided to play along at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the theme is anything goes using Impression Obsession Stamps. My projects almost always include Papertrey Ink cardstock so when I designed my card on an angle I decided to enter it into the PTI blog hop over at Nichole's Blog. The base of the card is PTI Hawaiian Shores and the Instant Camera Die is cut from Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I just recently got 2 Impression Obsession stamps so when I saw the challenge over at SSS, I knew I wanted to play along. I saw this technique in the Pattern Play online card class and wanted to try it out. The two IO stamps are Herringbone and Spatter. I inked the Herringbone stamp with Hero Arts wet cement and the Spatter stamp with Pool Party by SU and then a second time with Hibiscus Burst from PTI. I love the look of the two stamps together. The typewriter stamp is from Mama Elephant and I just love that adorable image! I also decided to back the typewriter up against my new Lil Inker Instant Camera Die. I needed to mute the background so I placed vellum behind the die and the typewriter really stood out after that. I finished the card off with some enamel dots and some washi tape and a lone heart smothered in glossy accents for a shiny finish! I really love how this card turned out.
I hope you all are enjoying your day as much as I am!
