Coffee with Friends!

Hello coffee lovers and welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a treat to share with you!

The Colorado Craft Company has a set of coffee loving mice and they are just too cute! The talented artist Anita Jeram has designed some new stamp sets for them and she draws the most whimsical characters! You might recognize her name as she is the talented artist who illustrated the popular children's book Guess How Much I Love You and many others!

My card today features a darling image from the Colorado Craft Company's stamp set titled
Coffee House. If you are familiar with Jeram's artwork you will recognize her whimsical style in these images. There are also dies to match these images but I did not use them for my card.

Aren't those mice just the cutest! I just love how excited they are over that cup of coffee. I imagine after Covid many of us would be excited to have coffee with friends again in person!
Here is a picture of that sweet stamp set.

I made my own stencil for this card using the Distressed Edge Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness.
I cut the third largest die from that set out of some stencil material and placed the negative piece over a piece of watercolor paper. Then I took Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and did some quick watercoloring over the panel. Once it dried I removed the stencil and had the distressed edge design perfectly masked off.

After the panel was completely dry I placed it into my MISTI and stamped the image and sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx ink a few times. The watercolor paper was very textured and thick so I had to stamp a few times to get a good impression.  I popped the stamped panel on to an A2 size card base with some foam tape and the card was done. For a fun embellishment I glued one heart on to the coffee cup from the Trinity Stamps Coffee Bean Heart Sprinkle Mix. I just love that extra bit of character it adds!

Here is one more look at my card with the supplies used.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to have coffee with a friend soon!
Have a great day, I already am!

Sprinkled with Happiness

This is my first post for 2021 for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers so Happy New Year and welcome to my blog! Today I have a fun card for you using my favorite color cardstock. I just love using kraft cardstock and today I did some fun stenciling with a large polka dot stencil!

Here is my caffeinated card for today:

For this card I used a slimline card base using Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz Cardstock cut to 8 1/2" x 7" and scored at 3 1/2". The next layer was cut using the largest die in the
Kat Scrappiness Fancy Stitched Scalloped Slimline Dies out of Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock.

Now it was time to have fun with stencils. I used the Kraft Cardstock one more time to cut a smaller panel than the slimline one and I took the Trinity Stamps Lots of Dots Slimline Stencil and some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink and blended some fun dots with my blender brush. It came out so perfect, it reminded me of patterned paper.

The cute coffee mug is from the MFT Stamps LLD Hot Cocoa Cups Die-Namics and the sweet little donut is from the My Creative Time We're Better Together set (now retired). I added some sparkly Stickles to the heart on the mug and the donut sprinkles.

The sentiment from the My Creative Time We're Better Together set was stamped onto a kraft panel cut using the smallest die from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rectangle Dies and popped up on foam tape over a piece of Raspberry Fizz card stock to match the card base.

For the finishing touch I added some beautiful Kat Scrappiness Sparkling Clear Jewels around my card for some pretty bling and shine!

I just love the color combination on this card and the cute little mug and donut! I hope you enjoyed my card today and I hope your day is Sprinkled with Happiness!

May 2021 bring you lots of Happiness as well!

Have a great day, I already am!

Did Somebody Say Cake?

Hello hello hello! I am so excited because I am up on the Kat Scrappiness blog today with a really fun card I made for my daughter's friend's birthday. I love to take out a bunch of different Kat Scrappiness dies and use them in new and creative ways.  Today I decided to make my own stencils with the Nested Layering Heart Dies. I needed to have a heart shaped stencil to do some ink blending in and I didn't have anything like that.

I started by taking the 3 smallest dies in the Nested Layering Heart Dies and cut them out of some 6x6 stencil sheets from The Crafters Workshop. I just love blank stencil sheets because you can create any stencil you want with dies that you already own. How's that for getting double duty out of your supplies!

I just love using my Distress Oxide Inks to do ink blending and I thought it would look really neat to do some ink blending over an embossed background.
I took a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock and stamped the Unity Faithful Letter background stamp in Versamark embossing ink and sprinkled Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder over the panel. I then heated it until the powder was smooth and melted.
Next it was time to put my stencil to work. I placed my handmade heart stencil all over the panel in different positions even overlapping in certain spots and used 2 different color inks on each heart to get some beautiful blends. I had so much fun making a random pattern using my favorite colors.  I was sort of going for a rainbow effect as much as possible. I just love the look of the text being highlighted over the heart shapes.

I'll be honest, the ink blending looked way better than I thought it would. I was very happy with how it turned out! Once I liked the layout of the hearts, I used the largest die in the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies to cut out the panel and give it a finished edge. I used a bright piece of pink card stock to matte the panel on so it would really stand out.

For the sentiment I wanted a bold black die cut for the front and the Hooray w/ Shadow die was the perfect choice. I used a piece of vellum paper to back the black die cut and it looked great against the bright rainbow colors. The two smaller sentiments are from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Birthday stamp set. I just love the look of white embossing on black paper!

And last but not least, what card would be complete without some Sparkling Clear Droplets?
I love how they let the color show through behind them!

I love how this card turned out and I love how with a little creativity and imagination you can create anything you want. You just have to think outside the box sometimes!

Here's another picture with all of the fun Kat Scrappiness products I used on my card:

Rainbow Happy Birthday

The recent release at The Rabbit Hole Designs was all about birthday cards
and I never have enough of them on hand!

My 2 favorite products from this release were the
Scripty Happy Birthday stamp and the

I used both on today's card.

I started with the Twisted Sunshine stencil and did some ink blending
in rainbow colors. I then stamped the Scripty Happy Birthday stamp
in black over the stenciled design.  I love how the black pops against
the rainbow! I matted the panel on to a black card base and added
some sparkly clear sequins for some added interest.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and don't forget you can
now purchase The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps at Simon Says Stamp!

What could be more fun that a barrel of monkeys???????
I'll tell you what .......... rainbows and unicorns, that's what!
This new stamp set called Sassy has 2 spunky unicorns and one sweet
little cloud raining hearts! There's also some fun fun sentiments
and one snarky hashtag!
Here's a look at Sassy the unicorn in all her glory!

Sassy

Today I have 2 cute cards to share with you using Sassy the Unicorn!

For my first card I used some pretty patterned paper for my background and I colored
and glittered up my pretty little unicorn.  I just love the sweet cloud that comes
in this stamp set! I gave my cloud the proverbial "silver lining" with some glitter!
I separated my patterned paper with a decorative scalloped edge using the
For some sparkly finishing touches I used some clear sequins as accents.

On my second card I used the brand new Rabbit Hole Circles and Stars stencil to create a fun
background for my card in rainbow colors. Next I used the Stitched Scalloped Border die
again on some purple glittered card stock to set off the background of the card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Sassy stamp set and finished it off with
the word "Awesome" as a die cut.
Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone, I just had to add some glitter
to my sweet unicorn and her cloud!
I discovered that I am physically unable to make a unicorn card
without using copious amounts of glitter............ sorry, not sorry🀩🀩

Cup of Sunshine

Welcome back to my blog and thanks for stopping by!
I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with
your daily dose of caffeine in the Intensive Coffee Unit!
Today I have a card to share with you that I am just in love with!
It features the cutest coffee cup die with an inlaid design that just makes me smile.

This coffee cup die is from Paper Smooches and is called Cuppa Sunshine.
It has the happiest little scene on it featuring an adorable cloud and sun!
I first saw this die from Paper Smooches right here on this blog and
immediately fell in love with it!  The sentiment is from a matching stamp set
called Sunnyville and it has great sentiments and more adorable images to go with the theme.

I wanted to do some ink blending on the background so I used
the largest die from the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers die set to cut out a piece of
Bristol Smooth card stock. Next I took my Taylored Expressions
Feathered stencil and did some ink blending with 3 different colors of Distress inks.
I used Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw.  I just love how those
colors look together.  I think it really compliments the colors in the cup.

I placed my coffee cup and sentiment on to a piece of vellum that was also cut
from the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers dies to
soften the background a little bit and make the cup stand out.
I also stamped some cloud images in light pink from the Sunnyville stamp set on the
base of the card for a little extra added interest.

For some sweet finishing touches I added 3

Thanks so much for joining me today in my ICU,
I'll be back in a couple of weeks with some more caffeinated inspiration for you!

Have a great day, I already am!

Grateful for Family

Good morning crafty friends! It's my day on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I have a
sweet card to share with you using the We Are Family stamp set.
I've been loving what the design team has been doing with this
stamp set by using both the mom and dad on a card at the same time.
I thought I'd give it a go for this card.
I'm so glad I did because they are just darling together!

I started out by making a rainbow blended background through
a fun stencil.  I used a black scalloped heart to break up the busy pattern
and to really make the colors pop.
The sentiment from the stamp set "So grateful you are my"
was almost perfect for this card but since I wanted a family
themed card, I searched through my stash of sentiment stamps
until I found the word family.  It was the perfect addition to the
sentiment from the set. I stamped it in black and backed it in white.
I popped the family and sentiment up on foam tape over the heart
and my sweet card was done.
I love how it came out and I hope you do too!

Bunny Spinner Card with Video

If you've never visited my blog than welcome,
and if you've been here before than welcome back!

Today I am up on the Kat Scrappiness blog
and I have a really fun
and interactive card to share with you!
I made a spinner card using the Chubby Bunny stamp set
from Sunny Studios
and the sentiment is from the Gerda Steiner
stamp set called Peeking Easter Friends.

I have a video tutorial to show you just how I made it!
It looks difficult but it's really quite easy!

I used the brand new Rectangle Zig Zag Dies dies in the shop
for the front of my card and I just love that jagged stitched edge it makes!
They are also available in circles, ovals, squares, hearts and borders.

I did some fun stenciling on the front of the card as well using
3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks.

I filmed a video to show you just how easy this card is to make.
You can view it here or on YouTube.

Here is a supply list of Kat Scrappiness products used on my card:

Happy Little Stampers February ATC Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the February

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for February is Stencils.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

For my ATC I decided to use the honeycomb stencils from Papertrey Ink and
blend 4 different colors of distress inks in yellows from light to dark.
I couldn't resist adding in a few cute bees from Paper Smooches
and their pretty LOVE die in red foil card stock!
Just in time for Valentine's Day!

I hope you'll play along with us this month
and enter the ATC challenge at
The winner for this challenge will receive a badge to display on their blog!

Have a great day, I already am!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday

I'm back again with another Papertrey Ink Make it Monday card.  This week Melissa is using die cuts to make stencils.  I love this technique and have used it before but it's been a while.  Today I made a card using a stencil that I made out of my Chevron Cover Plate.  I sponged the stencil with Pale Peony ink and then I added the July Corner Adorner to the corners with Aqua Mist ink.  I love how Melissa did that on her card, I think it adds such a faint classy touch to the card. I also used the corner adorner on the base of the card for a little extra interest.  I added two roses from the Watercolored Rose stamp set and a sentiment from the Penned Elegance set.  The Penned Elegance set is one of my favorites for many reasons but mainly I LOVE how the matching dies cut out the words so precisely! It's such a gorgeous touch! I cut out some Bitty Big paper for make a frame for the card as well and I finished it off with some clear sequins for sparkle. Here is my card for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!
Have a great day, I aready am!
