Paper Sweeties September 2020 New Release Rewind!

  

 

Hello crafty friends — welcome to day #3 of the September 2020 *NEW* Release Rewind at Paper Sweeties!

This month there is a new stamp and die set called 

With Heartfelt Thoughts and it has some sweet sentiments for

cards such as thank you, condolences, sympathy and inspirational themes as well.

Here is my card using the new stamps and flower dies from this beautiful set.

For this card I stamped the back side of the flower stamp in pretty rainbow colors and then turned the stamp to the right side and stamped in black. I learned this technique a while ago and it was perfect for these floral stamps.  The sentiment is from the Love You To Pieces stamp set and the assorted sequins gave just the right shine to the flower centers.

I never seem to have a sympathy card on hand when I need one.  This stamp set is the perfect set for a quick and elegant sympathy card.

Paper Sweeties March 2020 New Release Party!

Welcome back to the New Release Party over at Paper Sweeties! 

This month the new stamp and die set is called Sorry and Sorry Sweet Cuts.

I made a happy rainbow tag today to cheer someone up! The For You Sweet Cuts Tag is the perfect size and shape tag for all occasions and it has a really nice stitched edge. The new Sorry stamp set and matching die is perfect for someone who is ill, just been in an accident or having surgery. The matching die cuts out the word Sorry in such a pretty scripty font and looks good in any color!

Paper Sweeties June 2019 New Release Rewind!

Today is Release Rewind over on the Paper Sweeties blog and
this month they are releasing 2 new stamp sets and 1 new die set.

The first one is called Mermaid Wishes and the second one is called 

Sea You Soon with matching dies called Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts.

They are available for purchase in the Paper Sweeties shop!

For today's card I decided to do a little highlight coloring.  

I started with a kraft colored card base and layered some colorful Doodlebug 

patterned paper on it. The next layer is white card stock and I did some repeat 

stamping in black ink with the adorable fish from the Sea You Soon stamp set.

I made sure to stamp some of the fish off the page for a more random and organic

look.  I colored one of the fish in rainbow colors and popped him up over one of 

the black and white stamped images.  The rainbow fish really pops against all 

of the black and white.  I stamped a sentiment on kraft card stock and added a cluster

of balloons from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set and cut them out with the matching die. 

I really love how this card came out! Sometimes the simplest techniques have the biggest impact.

Paper Sweeties June 2019 New Release Party

🎶You want Thing-A-Ma-Bobs? I got 20! But who cares, not big deal, I want more!🎶

Do those song lyrics ring a bell? When my oldest daughter was younger it was a daily

staple in my life! We watched The Little Mermaid a couple of times a day! 

Ok little secret, I LOVED THAT MOVIE! Anyway my card today 

is honoring Ariel the Mermaid and her 2 friends Flounder and Sebastian!

This month Paper Sweeties is releasing 2 new stamp sets and 1 new die set.

Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts

For my Little Mermaid inspired card I decided to use one of the Sweeties Girls

stamps.  Miss Madison was the perfect sweetheart to fill in for Ariel today with her 

flaming red hair! Her mermaid tail was made with the stamp from Mermaid Wishes.  I stamped her tail and top on to pretty patterned paper and hand cut them out. 

I used the Sea You Soon stamp set to color one of the fish stamps in Flounder colors 

and of course Sebastian the crab rounded out my trio of friends from the classic movie.

My background was stenciled on with 3 different colors of Distress Inks and I hand 

ripped some kraft color card stock for the sand.  I splattered brown ink on to the kraft

paper to make it look like more realistic sand.  The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped 

on to a rectangle die cut from the Rectangle Scalloped Frames die and after I trimmed

it, I glued it to the top of the sign die from the Basket Add On dies.

I'm having so much fun with this release and today you too can get your hands

Paper Sweeties March 2019 New Release Party!

Good morning and welcome to the New Release Party for Paper Sweeties!

This month the design team is sharing projects with you 

using the brand new Get Well stamps with matching

Sweet Cuts dies!

For my card today I decided to use the Bee Happy stamp set.

I thought the happy butterfly would be the perfect 

sunny pick me up for a get well card!

I popped the happy butterfly up on a

die cut from the Sweet Cuts Circle scalloped frames.

The Get Well matching dies have the words 

"Get Well" in a large fun font and they looked 

great on top of some bright Doodlebug patterned paper.

The fun flowery paper is from the Hoppy Easter paper pad.

Paper Sweeties February 2019 New Release Party!

Good morning and welcome to the New Release Party for Paper Sweeties!

This month the design team is sharing projects with you 

using the new stamp set called:

Planner Series: All Occasions  with matching 

Planner Series: All Occasions Sweet Cuts.

Today I made two tags using the heart and gift images 

from the new set.

I used the same technique with these stamps that I used yesterday 

on my card.  I took the stamp and put it on to my stamp block

backwards so that I could stamp the shape of the stamp 

without the detail.  I then turned the stamp over and stamped the 

detail in a darker ink.  I love this technique because you get the perfect

shaped mat for your image.

I used the For You stamp set with matching die for my tags and 

attached the tags to some Doodlebug patterned paper for some extra fun color.
