Happy Little Stampers January Watercolor Challenge

Hello crafty friends and Happy New Year!
Starting this month I am joining the Watercolor Design Team over at
I've been on the ATC challenge team for a while and since
I enjoy Watercolors so much I decided to give that team a try as well!
This month the theme is anything goes with an optional "Texture" twist.

For my card I decided to do some watercoloring with Distress Inks.
I started out by doing some ink blending with 3 different color distress inks.
I used Broken China, Twisted Citron and Worn Lipstick.
They are so pretty when they blend together!
After I blended them out I used the Simon Says Stamp
Outline Floral Frame to cut out a panel.
It really was so pretty to see where the colors came out among the flowers!
I backed that panel with vellum to soften the card.
For the main focal point I die cut the Simon Says Stamp
Devonshire Butterfly out of gold foil card stock and added foam tape to the back.
SO PRETTY!
To give a little more interest to the card I added some gold floss
behind the butterfly in a random bunch.
For the sentiment I stamped Happy Birthday from the Essentials by Ellen
stamp set Wish Big.  I ALWAYS need birthday cards so this was an easy pick!
I watercolored the sentiment strip to match the floral die and adhered it to the butterfly.
I am so in love with watercolors, I love the soft random colors you
can achieve depending on the amount of water you use.

Come join us for the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge this month!
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you get some free crafty time today!
Have a great day, I already am!

Digi Design Team!  I can't wait to start designing with all of their
cute images. So honored to be designing along side of these other talented Divas!

My first card uses the Coffee and Donut Bear digital stamp.
I colored this little guy with my copic markers and added a
splattered background in matching colors.

For my second card I used the Gingercookie Digital Couple digital stamp.
I did some ink blending over the embossed hearts to make them stand out.
They are so adorable with those big eyes and cute embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by today to share my big news with me!

Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas 2018

Hello Paper Sweeties fans, I hope you have been enjoying the 25 days
of Christmas so far.  We have had some amazing Christmas projects
from the design team and guest designers. I am back today with my
second project for the month.  I made a tag from the
Sweet Cuts For You die and I embellished the top of the tag
with some patterned paper from the Doodlebugs
Sugarplums 6x6 paper pad.  To finish off the top of the tag
I tied some Frosting color seam binding with some pink
and white twine for a frilly finish.

The Christmas tree is from the new Merry Christmas Y'all stamp set and I
die cut it from the Doodlebugs Sugarplums paper pad, then added some snow to
the edges of the tree. The sentiment is from the Merry stamp set and I heat
embossed it in white.
I'm glad you stopped by for a visit today, and I hope you enjoyed
my sweet tag!  Don't forget to visit the other designer's blogs to

Purr-fect Birthday

Hello everyone! I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog today and I have an adorable
birthday shaker card to share with you featuring
one of those adorable kitties from Newton's Nook!
My card for today uses several fun products from the Kat Scrappiness shop
including the stamp set Birthday Bash by Newton's Nook!
Here's a look at the card I made:

I used the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies to make a frame
for the shaker element on my card and instead of using
acetate for my window I decided to use vellum to
give it a softer look. On the vellum I stamped the confetti and the
sentiment from the stamp set with Versamark Ink and then I heat embossed
The cute birthday kitty was colored with copic markers and was
given highlights with my Uni-Ball White Gel Pen.
I then popped up kitty up on foam tape on the front of the shaker.
My shaker element is filled with lots of
For the base of my card I used Kraft cardstock and I embossed
some teal cardstock with a pawprint pattern. I adhered the teal panel
to the base with Nuvo adhesive.
Here is a close up look at the card so you can see the
pretty confetti behind the vellum window:

Happy Little Stampers ATC December Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for December is Pets.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

For my pet themed ATC I decided to emboss the background of my card with a
paw print embossing folder and paint it with some off white paint
followed by some soft inking in blue.
I added a cute little doggie from Pretty Pink Posh
and a sentiment from My Creative Time!
To finish it off I added some cute red glittered hearts.

I hope you'll play along with us this month
and enter the ATC challenge at
The winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS
AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

Have a great day, I already am!

Kat Scrappiness Blog Hop for The Coffee Oasis

Welcome to the Kat Scrappiness Blog Hop and Sale!
This Blog Hop has been in the works for quite some time now!
We have so many generous sponsors who are taking part in this hop
and we are so glad you are joining us today!

Coffe Oasis is a coffee shop/organization located in Washington State that provides
help for our youth including programs for drug abuse, homelessness, violence and poverty.
You can read more about their programs here: https://thecoffeeoasis.com/youth-programs/

We are hoping that this blog hop will bring awareness to organizations such as Coffee Oasis and that we can raise a little money and support them! Kat Scrappiness has pledged to donate 15% of all sales proceeds to Coffee Oasis and our other sponsors have all donated prizes to give away to all of you blog and YouTube hoppers! Please visit them and show some support.
You can also donate directly to Coffee Oasis here:  http://kskat.com/donate
Even if you can only donate $1 or $5 it doesn't matter because every little bit will help a kid in need.

The Kat Scrappiness design team has designed cards for the hop with a winter theme.
I made 2 cards for the hop using some of the new dies in the Kat Scrappiness store.
For my first card I used the Christmas Stocking Banner Die.

I die cut each stocking out of a different color paper and then embossed them with a vine pattern.
I cut them a second time out of white paper and cut off the top of each and added it to the original stocking to look like a cuff.  For some extra interest I added glitter to each cuff and I put a glittered heart and a snowflake on each stocking. I popped each of them up on foam tape on to a kraft color card base that was embossed with the new Stitched Winter Swirl Backdrop Die.
To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment "Baby It's Cold Outside"
from the Merry Critters stamp set.
A few drops of glitter around the card to give the look of
falling snow and the card was finished.

***************

For my second card I used the new Winter Crafters Essentials Dies.
I was going for a clean and simple design with the elegance of white glitter.
The Winter Crafters Essentials Dies have a very elegant trio of Christmas trees that I
thought would look beautiful cut out of white glitter paper.

I placed the sparkly trees against a kraft background that I die cut with the
brand new Stitched Snowflake Swirl Border Backdrop die. I splattered white paint
all over the panel to imitate falling snow.
For my sentiment I took the "Jolly" Brush Script Word and Sentiment die
and cut it out of white glitter as well but I left out the 2 L's
so I could create the word Joy. It's so nice to have a die that can be
used in a way it wasn't originally intended.

I enjoyed creating these 2 winter themed cards and the new dies in the shop
made it so easy to come up with fun and elegant designs.
I hope you'll hop along with us and check out all of the wonderful sponsors
who have donated prizes for this worthy cause!

Christmas Tags

Today is my day on the Kat Scrappiness blog and I have
some simple gift tags to share with you.
The one thing everyone seems to need this time of year
is gift tags, and lots of them!
to make 9 different tags in quite a few different patterns.
I started with the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag Dies as a base for all of the tags.

I made 3 simple tags using some buffalo plaid patterned paper.

I made 4 more using some inlaid die cutting.

And finally I made 2 tags that have extra embellishments for a little more interest.

One of my favorite dies to use is the Jolly Sentiment Die
because I can cut out the 2 L's and I have the word "Joy"
in a beautiful script font.

Here are all the tags hanging from a mini tree, they look cute as ornaments as well.

If you're in need of a quick tag or something with a little
more pizazz than I think you'll find some inspiration with one of the tags I've created.
You can get really creative depending on the colors and patterns you choose.

I hope I've inspired you to go and make some gift tags today!
You know you're going to need them soon!
