Paper Sweeties July 2020 Look Back Inspiration - Day 3

This month Paper Sweeties is having a Look Back Inspiration! The DT will be using some of their favorite Paper Sweeties stamps, dies and embellishments to create projects with a Summer theme.

I have 2 cards to share with you today from a previous release but I absolutely LOVE them and they couldn't be more perfect for the summer theme this month!

I am in love with the whimsical style of both cards and the little sea creatures could not be more adorable! I also really LOVE the colors on both cards.  Here are links to the stamp sets and dies I used to create these 2 cards.

I hope you've enjoyed the Paper Sweeties July 2020 Look Back Inspiration!

Paper Sweeties June 2019 New Release Rewind!

Today is Release Rewind over on the Paper Sweeties blog and
this month they are releasing 2 new stamp sets and 1 new die set.
The first one is called Mermaid Wishes and the second one is called
Sea You Soon with matching dies called Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts.
They are available for purchase in the Paper Sweeties shop!

For today's card I decided to do a little highlight coloring.
I started with a kraft colored card base and layered some colorful Doodlebug
patterned paper on it. The next layer is white card stock and I did some repeat
stamping in black ink with the adorable fish from the Sea You Soon stamp set.
I made sure to stamp some of the fish off the page for a more random and organic
look.  I colored one of the fish in rainbow colors and popped him up over one of
the black and white stamped images.  The rainbow fish really pops against all
of the black and white.  I stamped a sentiment on kraft card stock and added a cluster
of balloons from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set and cut them out with the matching die
I really love how this card came out! Sometimes the simplest techniques have the biggest impact.

I hope you've enjoyed the new release over at Paper Sweeties this month,
I know the DT worked hard to bring you some adorable inspiration using the
new products so make sure to visit each of them to see their projects!

Paper Sweeties June 2019 New Release Party

🎢You want Thing-A-Ma-Bobs? I got 20! But who cares, not big deal, I want more!🎢

Do those song lyrics ring a bell? When my oldest daughter was younger it was a daily
staple in my life! We watched The Little Mermaid a couple of times a day!
Ok little secret, I LOVED THAT MOVIE! Anyway my card today
is honoring Ariel the Mermaid and her 2 friends Flounder and Sebastian!

This month Paper Sweeties is releasing 2 new stamp sets and 1 new die set.
The first one is called Mermaid Wishes and the second one is called
Sea You Soon with matching dies called Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts.
They are available for purchase today in the Paper Sweeties shop!

For my Little Mermaid inspired card I decided to use one of the Sweeties Girls
stamps.  Miss Madison was the perfect sweetheart to fill in for Ariel today with her
flaming red hair! Her mermaid tail was made with the stamp from Mermaid Wishes.  I stamped her tail and top on to pretty patterned paper and hand cut them out.
I used the Sea You Soon stamp set to color one of the fish stamps in Flounder colors
and of course Sebastian the crab rounded out my trio of friends from the classic movie.
My background was stenciled on with 3 different colors of Distress Inks and I hand
ripped some kraft color card stock for the sand.  I splattered brown ink on to the kraft
paper to make it look like more realistic sand.  The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped
on to a rectangle die cut from the Rectangle Scalloped Frames die and after I trimmed
it, I glued it to the top of the sign die from the Basket Add On dies.

I'm having so much fun with this release and today you too can get your hands
on all of these goodies! I hope you hop along today and see what the rest of the design team
has made to inspire you! Make sure to check back tomorrow for Release Rewind Day
at Paper Sweeties, I have one more Mer-Mazing card to share with you!

Here's a list of all the DT and links to their blogs!
Enjoy!

Welcome back to my blog crafty friends!
I'm so glad you've stopped by today because Paper Sweeties has 2 new stamp sets
with matching dies that I think you are going to fall in love with!
The first one is called Mermaid Wishes and the second one is called
Sea You Soon with matching dies called Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts.
They will all be available for purchase tomorrow in the Paper Sweeties shop.

I am so in love with these new sets! They have the sweetest images with dies to match.
The Sea You Soon set has 2 different fish, 1 octopus, 1 clam, 1 seahorse and 1 crab.
There are so many different ways to color them and the matching dies make cutting them
out a breeze!  The Mermaid Wishes stamp set has the cutest mermaid tail and swim suit
top and it fits perfectly on to any of the Sweeties Girls.

For my card today I decided to make a liquid shaker card.
I ran across a great video tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers the other day and it looked like
so much fun I thought I'd give it a try.  The theme of this new release was perfect for a
liquid shaker card. The card uses hair gel to give it a watery look but I think I got a bit
carried away with the hair gel and added too much.
Here is a link to that YouTube video:

Here is a closeup of the card and you can see how it has the look of a watery
backdrop. You can also see how it's almost overflowing, I also added glitter to the hair gel
to give it a sparkly appearance.

I really had fun coloring up all of the fish and friends from the Sea You Soon stamp set
with my Copic Markers and I just love how Emma looks in that sweet mermaid tail from

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, don't forget to
check back tomorrow for Release Day!
Make sure you visit all of the other New Release Team members blogs to
