Anti Valentine's Day Dragon

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog 

with an Anti-Valentine's Day card. Since Valentine's Day is a very unpopular holiday for so many, The Rabbit Hole has come up with an Anti-Valentine's Day stamp set and the snarky sentiments are HILARIOUS! When I first colored this Caffeinated Dragon I was not happy with the results and he got filed away with images that I might use one day. Well today is that day!  When I was going through the sentiments in the Sassy Anti-Valentine stamp set I knew that the sentiment I picked was perfect for my diseased looking Dragon.  

Well at least that's what I thought........ green with purple spots.......ick!

I love how the brick embossing folder background adds to the "blah" feeling on this card, the whole card just makes me laugh! I hope it gave you a good laugh too!

Anti Valentine's Day Cards

 Good morning crafty card making peeps!
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey
and spent some quality time with family and friends!
I spent the holiday with family in Georgia and had
tons of fun shopping and laughing!

Today I am up on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog with 2 fun cards
using products from the recent December release!
In the crafty world we are ahead of schedule with the holidays
so we are currently in Valentine's Day mode.
I used the new Anti Valentine Sassy Sentiments combined with the
Circle Illusion Stencil and came up with 2 fun and easy cards.

For my first card I blended rainbow colors over the Circle Illusion Stencil
for a fun and colorful background.
I used a smaller rectangle of vellum paper to mute out the center
of the stenciled background and then I added 3 sentiments from
the Anti Valentine Sassy Sentiments. I white heat embossed the sentiments
on to black paper and stacked them on the vellum.
I even decorated the inside of the card with another sentiment
and included the heart image from the same set with the
word "blah" inside of it.

  

For my second card I used purple ink only over the 

Circle Illusion Stencil for a more monotone look.

I added a heart shape that I cut from silver glitter paper on to the
center of the stenciled background.

Once again I white heat embossed a sentiment on black paper from the
Anti Valentine Sassy Sentiments.
and mounted the sentiment it across the silver heart.
Lastly I  decorated the inside of the card similar to the first card.

I love the new stencils, they really make quick work 

of a fun and interesting background with minimal effort.

The Anti Valentine Sassy Sentiments stamp set really 

cracks me up and at the same time can be used for a legit 

Valentine's day card if you use the cupid and heart images 

and any number of other "true love" sentiments.

I have a gate fold card with a shutter feature on the inside.
The front features the beautiful bow stamp colored with
Copic markers and the inside has a cool shutter element
that has a stamped sentiment from the
Love You More - Heart Dance stamp set.

For my second project today I made a gift card holder and I decorated it

with the More Than Donuts and Sassy Sentiments - Anti Valentine

stamp sets. I just love the cute cupid in that set.  There are so many
possibilities for it! I love how those 2 stamp sets compliment each other.

I decided to make a Shabby Chic inspired tag and I broke out
my lace trim, angel wings and old French dictionary for my tag.
Although it's not anti Valentine I love how it turned out.
The "Love" sentiment stamped on the bottom is from the stamp
set being featured tomorrow called Put A Bow On It.
