Congratulations Peonies

Hello crafty peeps!
It's my day on The Rabbit Hole Designs Blog and I have a Congratulations
card to share with you today. I used the masking technique to make my card and the
Pretty in Peony stamp set with some quick watercoloring.
Here's how this card came together:

  1. The first step was to cut a scalloped rectangle frame from watercolor paper.
  2. Next I stamped "Congratulations" from the Happily Ever After stamp set across the middle of the paper.
  3. I wanted to do some masking over the sentiment so I used purple tape to cover it up.
  4. Now it was time to stamp the peonies over the tape.  I stamped the flowers repeatedly over to cover the width of the card.
  5. Next I used my Zig watercolor markers and water to paint the flowers.
  6. The next step was to remove the purple tape and reveal the stamping.
  7. I used a ruler to draw a black line above and below the flowers to really make the sentiment stand out between the flowers.
  8. The last step was to do some ink splattering and apply the watercolored panel to a golden yellow card base and apply some sequins.

Happily Ever After Times 2

Good morning crafty friends! It's my day on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I have 2
classy cards to share with you using the Happily Ever After stamp set.
I'm so smitten with these stamps and I had an idea for a card
using the sweet images and some really pretty flowers.

For my first card I used the Watercolored Stripes Cover Die
from Altenew for the background.
I love the thick uneven stripes on this die!
I cut it out in black card stock and adhered it to a white card base.
I wanted a black and white background
so that the pretty red roses would really stand out.
I colored the sweet couple from Happily Ever After with my Copic markers
and cut them out with my scan n cut machine.
I watercolored and cut out several roses and leaves from the Altenew
Rose Flurries 3-D die set and arranged them in a bouquet
in the top left corner. I popped my sweet couple up on foam tape in the
bottom right corner and added a few Kat Scrappiness
Clear Jewels for some sparkle and shine.
For my sentiment I added a large "Love" die cut in
silver foil layered on a vellum background.
This beautiful die is from the Kat Scrappiness I Love You Shadow Dies.

For my second card I used the same couple but with a much lighter
and softer background. I used the Linked Circles Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti.
Instead of cutting it out, I decided to emboss it this time.
I love the subtle texture it gives to a card background.
I colored the couple with my Copic markers and
sent them to the scan n cut once again. For my flowers on this card I used the
Altenew Rose Flurries 3-D die set again. For this card I used
smaller roses in a simple cluster at the top middle of the card.
I added the same Kat Scrappiness Clear Jewels for shine and I embossed the sentiment
from Happily Ever After on to a piece of vellum at the bottom of the card.

One stamp set with 2 very different looks!
I hope you enjoyed my 2 cards today, I'd love to know
which card you liked best!

to put this card together.

The next card I have to share with you is also a shaker card that I made

actual beach sand to the inside of this card.

The last 2 cards I want to share with you feature the Caffeinated Octopus
and Caffeinated Dino stamp sets.
I had so much fun making these interactive wiper cards!

Here is a picture of what they look like when they are opened up.

I have 2 cards to share with you today using the new
The first card uses the image of the couple back to back holding
a bouquet and the "love" sentiment.

I began by stamping the sweet couple on to some white card stock
with Gina K Amalgam Ink so I could do some Copic coloring.
I only colored the bouquet and the flower in the girl's hair
so they would really stand out against the black and white theme.
I then took a Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Oval die
and cut out the image. I cut out a mat with the next largest
oval die in black paper to really make it stand out.
I also used the Stitched Scalloped Border die on some
pretty white glitter paper to layer the oval panel on to.
The last step was to stamp the "love" sentiment in red
to match the flowers. Such an elegant clean and simple card
where the image can really take center stage!

For my second card I used the sweet couple holding hands
over a stenciled background.

I began again by stamping the cute couple on to some white card stock
with Gina K Amalgam Ink so I could do some Copic coloring.
My scan n cut made quick work of cutting out the image.
Next I took some smooth white card stock and did some fun stenciling
with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink over the beautiful
Simon Says Stamp Circular Lace stencil.
I cut a white frame with a Craftin Desert Diva Inside Scalloped Rectangle
die and layered it over the stenciled panel.
Before I adhered this panel to my card base, I covered my card base
with some light gray polka dot paper cut with the largest die
from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies.
Next I stamped the "Mr. & Mrs." sentiment in Weathervane ink
from Papertrey Ink. I love the soft look of gray sometimes rather than
a harsh black ink. I popped the well dressed couple up on to
some foam tape and added a few sequins for some shine.
