Mummy Card Video

The 26th day of the hop belongs to me and I made a
Halloween card that I am in love with!

How cute is that adorable little Mummy???

I used the super cute Unity Mummy Stamp and I just love how easy it was to color!
There is lots of shading lines on the stamp so it was like a roadmap to show you
where to put your darker colors.

I included the coloring in my video so you can
see the process.  I also have been loving ink blending lately and I used
3 different colors of purple Distress ink on my card for the background.
I couldn't decide if I wanted a background with or without a moon or if
I wanted white stars or glittered stars so I made both.
For my final card I decided on the moon with the glittery stars but here is
what the other 2 backgrounds looked like.

For the finishing touches on the card I added some
Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABC's dies for the word "boo" and I backed
them with foam to make them dimensional. I also added some bats from the

I really enjoyed everything about this card and I hope you enjoy my
YouTube video! Below is a list of all the supplies (with links) that I used to make this card.
If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to
leave a comment here or on my video.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card and my video!
Don't forget to keep hopping until October 31st and leave comments along the
way for your chance to win the big prize!

Have a great day, I already am!

Crabby Coffee Card

Hello crafty friends, I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog today and
I'm sharing a card using 2 stamp sets from one of the new
vendors in the Kat Scrappiness shop!
The Rabbit Hole Designs is a new company that has
fun and creative stamps with a dash of quirky and sassy!
They have a whole line of caffeinated critter stamps and today
I am using the Caffeinated Crab on my card!
The sentiment is from the Perfectly Blended stamp set.
This coffee and tea themed sentiment set has the funniest
sayings and pair so perfectly with the caffeinated critters from The Rabbit Hole!
I got the super cute patterned paper from Michaels with crabs
all over it and I thought it would be the perfect background for my tired crab!

I used the Zig Zag Border dies on some kraft paper and then I made it look like
faux sand using a technique I showed in this YouTube video:
I also die cut some shells and gave them the same look as the sand.
The crab patterned paper was cut out using the Zig Zag Rectangle dies
and I layered the kraft paper on top of it.  Since I used the Zig Zag border dies,
it layered perfectly on top. The bottom layer of my sun was cut using
the starburst die from the Crafter's Essentials II dies.
The sentiment is from the Perfectly Blended stamp set by The Rabbit Hole
and I mounted it on to a small die from the Zig Zag Rectangle dies.

I just love these fun stamps from The Rabbit Hole and I think you will too!
As always don't forget to use my code LISA10 in the Kat Scrappiness
shop for 10% off your entire order!

***Don't forget about the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop still going on until May 10th!***

event and if you join in and hop along there are terrific prizes being

Faux Sand for the Caffeinated Crab with Video

Welcome back to my blog friends!
I am up on the Rabbit Hole Designs blog today with another fun card!
I have a card and video to share with you that features a new
technique I recently learned.  I have a way to turn plain kraft card stock
into faux sand! It's so easy to do and so much fun!
Thank goodness for the crafty goddesses that pave the way,
I learned this technique recently from watching a video
by Koren Wiskman where she made the cutest Travelocity gnome.
Her videos are super funny and helpful!
All you need is some paint splatter and some shimmer mist!
I wanted to used the Caffeinated Crab on my card today and I thought
that the perfect background for him was some beach sand!
I even filmed a short video to show you how easy the process is.

The card construction is pretty simple.
I stamped and watercolored 3 tired crabs and used my scan n cut to cut them out.
Once I had the crabs ready to go I also cut out 3 seashells to layer behind them.
I used the Bold Stripes Cover-Up die from My Favorite Things for my background.
It was the perfect die since it had lots of slits in it which was perfect for
slipping my crabs behind.  I stamped #crabby next to each crab and the card was done!

Here is a closeup of the sand so you can see the detail.

See... easy peasy card construction but the fun part was the sand.
Here is a short video to show you how you can make your own!
You can watch it here or on YouTube.

Paper Sweeties April 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks and Video

Welcome to my blog crafty friends!
I'm glad you're here because Paper Sweeties recently underwent
a website makeover and it's bright, beautiful and very user friendly!
In other fun news, today starts the New Release sneak peeks for the
brand new April stamp set! Make sure to head on over to the new
shop and blog and take a look around!
This month Paper Sweeties is releasing the
Here are pictures of both:

This stamp set features the beautiful Hello sentiment in a flirty font with
lots of additional sentiments to pair it with. It also has 2 flowers and
2 different size leaves.  The matching dies have the beautiful hello word
along with both flowers and both leaves.

For my card I decided to do some gold embossing over an
bright ink blended background.
I used Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade
Distress Inks blended over a piece of Bristol Smooth
card stock. I took the flower stamp and the leaf stamp
from the Hello set and stamped them in Versamark Ink
so I could heat emboss them with WOW gold embossing powder.
I placed the Hello die cut on to a
I finished the card off with a beautiful bow made
from Licorice Seam Binding and 3 sequins
from the Cupcake Sprinkles mix.

I made a video tutorial to show you exactly how I made this card.
You can watch it here or on YouTube:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, don't forget to
check back tomorrow for Release Day!

The Rabbit Hole Designs February Guest Designer

Hello and welcome back to my blog!
I am honored to be guest designing for The Rabbit Hole Designs
for the month of February!
They are a brand new stamp company and they have some very
unique stamps that feature a line of over-caffeinated critters such as
a unicorn, a dinosaur, an octopus and the cat featured on my card today.
Make sure you check them out to see all of their fun stamp sets!

Ok, so if you have your morning cup of java or cocoa or whiskey
or (whatever gets you moving in the morning)... we'll get started!

The new stamps here at The Rabbit Hole are so much fun to create with!
For today's card I am featuring the Caffeinated Cat stamp.
I am LOVING that CRAZY hair and those adorable bunny slippers!

Shaker cards are one of my favorite types of card to make.
Here is the "How To" for my coffee loving feline card:

Card Recipe

  • My first step was to stamp the cat in Gina K Amalgam ink and color her with my Zig and Copic markers.
  • Next I cut out the stamped image with my Scan and Cut machine.  I love my machine but you could easily fussy cut this image out with scissors.
  • The next thing I did was to stamp the caffeine molecule and #momlife stamp randomly on to some polka dot patterned paper for the background. The patterned paper was cut using the largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • For the top of the shaker I used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame die and I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of it. I built the frame up with foam tape so my shaker guts would have room to move around.
  • Now for the fun part! I chose a variety of coffee colored sequins from Kat Scrappiness to fill my card with and I made sure to add a splash of teal to match the coffee cup. The sequin mix consisted of Espresso mix, Caramel Latte mix and Teal Jewels. I placed the sequin mix down on the patterned paper in the spots where I knew the windows were in the collage frame and then I adhered the frame over the sequins.
  • All that was left was to add my sentiment and cat to the front of the card.  I stamped the sentiment on to some brown card stock with white ink and embossed with WOW bright white embossing powder.  I cut the sentiment into 3 separate strips and popped them up on foam tape. Oh yeah...... kitty got popped up too!๐Ÿ˜‚

Here are some close up pictures to see the details better:

I also have a video for you so you can see how I created
this Caffeinated Cat shaker card.
Please excuse the extreme closeup view in the video,
I have a new camera and I'm still figuring things out.
You can watch the video here or on YouTube.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
I really enjoyed sharing my card and video with you.
