Witches Brew

Welcome back to my blog and another post for the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog!

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween doing whatever it is you do on Halloween! I wanted to share one more belated coffee themed Halloween card before we move on to the rest of the holidays!
This is a shaker card that I made using some fun dies from Lawn Fawn and Spellbinders!

I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mug Frame for my mug and filled it with a fun shaker mix from Trinity stamps. The fabulous witches legs are from the Let's Be Frank dies from Spellbinders. I really love how they have spaces to fill in the socks and shoes with different pops of color!

The purple stars in the background are from an older Echo Park stencil and I printed out the sentiment using a word processing program where I could mix and match different fun fonts.

This was a fun card to make and the last of the Halloween cards until next year.

Thanks for joining me today, have a great day!

You Warm My Heart

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a card to share with you using two adorable dies from Lawn Fawn. The Outside in Stitched Mug and the Stitched Mug Frame.  These 2 die make the most adorable shaker cards and I filled it with some colorful Rainbow Heart Sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness. The pretty floral paper is from a Doodlebug paper pack.

The square panel under the mug was cut from white card stock using the Stitched Scalloped Square Nesting Dies from Kat Scrappiness and embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.

The sentiment on my card is from the Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Blend stamp set. I stamped it in clear embossing ink on black paper and embossed it with Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder.

I made sure to pop the mug and sentiment up on foam tape for some extra added dimension on my card!

I just love how this sweet card came out and I hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Today is my day in the "ICU", that is the Intensive Coffee Unit and that's where I reside over on

The Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog. Today I have an adorable coffee themed tag for you.

This cute little tag is from the Lawn Fawn Tag Your It dies and Birthday Tags stamp set. That cute little girl on my tag is from the Love Cynthia Coffee Addict stamp set and she is sooo stinkin' cute!
I added some cute Red Heart sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness.

I colored my cute little girl image with Copic Markers and popped her up on foam tape. The tag is finished off with some Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Cord.

Just a sweet little caffeinated tag for you today

Have a great day, I already am!

Vitamin Sea

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, I am up on the Kat Scrappiness blog as well and I am featuring a slimline card using the brand new Wonky Stitched Nesting Slimline Dies. The new release over at Kat Scrappiness brought with it quite a few new slimline dies to really dress up your slimline cards! These new dies include the Stitched Slimline Wave Die that is the perfect size for a slimline cards and lets you add waves to your cards with a fun stitched edge.

Here is the card recipe:

1. I started with some Lawn Fawn Vellum and swiped 2 different colors of Distress Oxide Ink across the paper in no real pattern. I used Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon. I splattered some water over the paper and blotted it off with a paper towel to give it the look of water.

2. After the panel was dry I die cut 2 dolphins using the Kat Scrappiness Dolphin Dies. I also wanted the waves to be cut from the same panel so I used the Wonky Stitched Nesting Slimline Dies and the Stitched Slimline Wave Die to cut out 3 panels that would fit the slimline panel from side to side and also have the stitched edging like the rest of the card. As you can see in this picture I also cut out the top panel of the slimline card in white card stock using the Wonky Stitched Nesting Slimline Dies

3. Once the vellum pieces were cut it was time to prepare the large white panel. I decided to do some stenciling and give the background some clouds.  I used the MFT Cloud Stencil and a Ranger Blending Foam to stencil on some clouds with Peacock Blue Atelier Ink. I just love the look of those big puffy clouds. I love to do all of my ink blending on my Tonic Glass Media Mat because it makes cleaning up so easy!

4. Once the clouds were done I added the sentiment from the Sofishticated Stamp Set using my Misti Stamping Tool and some Goddess Green Atelier Ink. After I adhered the dolphins to the panel using Scor Tape I stamped some water splashes from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp set using the Goddess Green Atelier Ink again to match the sentiment. I also included a cute little sun die cut from My Creative Time with a fun face in it using the Fresh Faces stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

5. It was time to put everything together so I adhered my 3 vellum wave panels to the bottom of the  white panel using Scor Tape at the bottom of the waves so they would look 3-D on the card.
The whole panel was adhered using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to a piece of Heffy Doodle Hint of Mint card stock measuring 8.5" x 3.5". For some extra watery fun I added a bunch of Kat Scrappiness Sparkling Clear Droplets. They also look great around cards in photographs (added bonus)!

Here is one more look at the whole card.  I really enjoyed putting this card together!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Make sure you head over to Kat Scrappiness today and check out all of the amazing new slimline dies they have. The possibilities are endless and there are so many fun stamps and dies to go along with them, not to mention all of the embellishments there as well!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 3

It's day 3 of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and today I have a card using the coffee cup and "Hello" sentiment from the mini stamp set from Super Sponsor,  Flora and Fauna called Hello Autumn

Flora and Fauna MINI HELLO AUTUMN Clear Stamps 20278 Preview Image

This set was gifted to me by my sweet friend Amy and she sent me the cutest card along with it. I love Amy's clean and simple cards and on her card she placed a sweet little bird on the coffee cup. I borrowed Amy's idea and added a parrot to my cup using the Critters in the Jungle stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The leaves and grass are from that set as well.
I couldn't resist blinging up my coffee cup to match all of the fun colors in my parrot so I used assorted jewels from Super Sponsor Kat Scrappiness in a rainbow of colors.

After I did all of my stamping and coloring I used the Neat and Tangled
Scalloped Die Set to cut the panel out. I matted that panel on a piece of pretty rainbow striped paper from Super Sponsor,  Sunny Studios Summer Splash patterned paper pack.
To finish the card I off I placed a piece of black card stock under my rainbow paper to really set off all of those beautiful summery colors!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to stop by the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and play along. There's plenty of caffeinated inspiration to give you some great ideas!

Bunny Tails

Hello there! If this is your first time here, welcome, so nice to have you!
Thanks for joining me on Easter, let's get to the card!
I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog today and I have a cute Easter card for you.
I die cut three of the Stitched Easter Bunny Outline dies out of kraft paper and lined them up across my card on some pretty patterned paper from my collection.
I gave each one of them a cut little White Bunny Tail and they look so cute!
I finished off this simple card with a Happy Easter stamp from an older Lawn Fawn set.

This card was super simple to make and would be a great card to reproduce if you had to make multiples. It is also an easy card to make with kids.

That's all for today, don't forget to follow Kat Scrappiness on all
social media platforms to be alerted to new releases, sales and giveaways!

Sending Warm Hugs

This is my first post in the new year for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers
and today I have a card for you featuring products from 5 different companies!

It's always so much fun when I'm making a card to go on a scavenger hunt
through my collection.  It's always a challenge to find the perfect crafty supply!

Today's card started with the idea of stenciling white hearts on
kraft paper and here is where I ended up.

I started out by cutting a small panel of Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb Cardstock
out of the 2nd largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Next I placed the Taylored Expressions Feathered Stencil over top of it
and sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink.

I just love the sentiments from the Trinity A Latte Love stamp set
so I stamped them over the stenciled hearts with my Misti for perfect placement.
I always get a nice crisp image when I stamp in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.

The outside frame on the card was made using the 2 largest dies from
the Kat Scrappiness Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.  I cut them out at the
same time to form a frame and I popped it up on foam tape.

The next step was to cut out the cute little coffee cup from the Paper Smooches Sunny Dies.
I used the happy face die from the Paper Smooches Sunnyville Icons for the
sweet little eyes and mouth. I backed the cup in black paper so the eyes and
mouth would show up. The cute little bow on the cup is from the
Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames.  I added some sweet cheeks with an
R20 Copic Marker and some cute white dots on those cheeks with a
Sakura Gelly Rolly White Pen size 10. I also cut some steam from vellum and
adhered it behind the cup.

All that was left to do was to add some sparkly Pink Solid Confetti Mix
from Kat Scrappiness.  I picked them up with my Marvy Uchida Jewel Picker
and adhered them with my favorite Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Here is another picture showing all the fun products that went into this card!

Thanks so much for joining me today here on my blog!
I hope everyone's New Year is off to a great year and I'll be back
real soon for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers with some caffeinated inspiration!

Enjoy your day, I already am!

Season's Greetings

Hello crafty friends!
Today I had some crafty time and I decided to play with some new
crafty goodies I got recently from Simon Says Stamp and Taylored Expressions.

I just love the new Large Gnome Wafer Die from Simon Says Stamp and
there are so many different ways you can dress them up.
They are also available in a small version which I think I might
have to add to my collection as well.

For the background of my card I decided to do some stenciling with the
I spread some Nuvo Glacier Paste in Sea Sprite over my stencil
and the results are magical!
It's so hard to pick up the sparkle in a photograph!
This is my first time playing with this paste but I can see that
I will have to order more in different colors.
It really is the perfect medium for stenciling!

For the sentiment I used the Clean Line Christmas
stamp and die combination.
I used Cupcake ink from Taylored Expressions
for the sentiment. It matched the
patterned paper on the gnomes.
I really like how the dies cut the sentiments out
with a border around the exact shape of the stamp.

For the snowy hills that the gnomes are sitting on I cut
some white glitter paper out of the
Those dies are perfect for snow or grass or hillsides!

I really love how this card came out but for some reason I wasn't
able to get a picture of the card that I liked.
The lighter colors just seemed to get washed out in photography.

I am entering my card into the Monday and Wednesday challenges
The Monday challenge is Stars and the Wednesday challenge
is Traditional Christmas. I love how this card fit both challenges this week.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day

The 26th day of the hop belongs to me and I made a
Halloween card that I am in love with!

How cute is that adorable little Mummy???

I used the super cute Unity Mummy Stamp and I just love how easy it was to color!
There is lots of shading lines on the stamp so it was like a roadmap to show you
where to put your darker colors.

I included the coloring in my video so you can
see the process.  I also have been loving ink blending lately and I used
3 different colors of purple Distress ink on my card for the background.
I couldn't decide if I wanted a background with or without a moon or if
I wanted white stars or glittered stars so I made both.
For my final card I decided on the moon with the glittery stars but here is
what the other 2 backgrounds looked like.

For the finishing touches on the card I added some
Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABC's dies for the word "boo" and I backed
them with foam to make them dimensional. I also added some bats from the

I really enjoyed everything about this card and I hope you enjoy my

Light Up Halloween

Good morning and welcome to my blog, if this isn't your first visit than welcome back!
Today I am up on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I have a fun Halloween card to share with you!
You've got to love a holiday that says......"It's ok to combine orange and purple with each other!"
You wouldn't think that these colors would look good together but I just love them
blended next to each other! Maybe it's that they are so opposite, they do say opposites attract!
Anyway, I just love the color combination and I love the way this card turned out!

The best part about this card is the light up pumpkin!
I used the EZ Lights by Pear Blossom Press.
These lights are super easy to use and make easy work of making light up cards!
They consist of one battery pack attached to 3 mini lights.
I placed the 3 lights under the pumpkins eyes and nose.

Here is a quick recipe for my card:

1) I used the largest Wavy Wonky Rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness to cut a
panel out of Bristol Smooth card stock. (I love this paper for blending Distress Oxide Inks)

2) Blend Distress Oxide inks: Carved Pumpkin into Spiced Marmalade on the bottom and
Wilted Violet into Shaded Lilac at the top. Next I spritzed the panel with water using the
Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and dry to give your background a distressed look.

3) Stamp Happy Halloween from the "Boo To You" stamp set in black
ink at the top of the panel and add the little spider around the words.

4) Add grassy border at the bottom of the panel to ground your card. I used patterned paper
from the Queen and Co Dots Paper Pad and I cut it out using the Lawn Fawn
Grassy Border Die. I also sponged the top of the grass with dark green ink to give it a little depth.

5) Stamp the pumpkin image from "Hey Gord-geous" in Gina K Amalgam Ink
and color in with various Copic Markers. I added Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel to
hat, eyes and mouth for a little sparkle. Die cut pumpkin with matching die.

6) Lastly tape the EZ Light battery pack to a piece of black cardstock measuring
5 1/2" x  4 1/4" and place foam tape all over panel avoiding battery pack.
I placed my battery pack on the bottom left of the card
and threaded the 3 lights up through the bottom right of the main panel. I adhered the
3 small lights to the back of the pumpkin behind the eyes and mouth. I placed my pumpkin on foam tape to leave room for the lights and then I adhered the main panel down to the black panel.
Press purple button on battery pack and prepare to be amazed!

** I added a small half circle over the battery pack and hand wrote
"push here" however there are stamp sets available that already have these sayings.
Here is one by Lawn Fawn:

This card was so much fun to make and the EZ lights make quick work of light up cards!
In no time you can have a fun interactive card that will amaze your recipient!
