A Cup of Joy

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It's my day again up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have another caffeinated creation to share with you today!

Hopefully you all had a chance to take part in the Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lover's hop, it was so much fun to see everyone’s cards and projects!
In case you missed Amy's wrap up post with all of the winners, you can find it here.

I made 12 cards for this hop and I've put them all in a collage to share with you today:

I used lots of different stamps and dies from the many super sponsors and had so much fun!
The bright yellow card with the flower was made using the Better Together stamp set from super sponsor Reverse Confetti. I loved that card so much and I really wanted to use that stamp set again so I made another card for today's post using that stamp set for the flowers and the cute coffee cup is from an older stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Lately I have been enjoying making mini slimline cards and super sponsor Kat Scrappiness carries a whole line of mini slimline dies! I used my favorite one on this card, it's called the Scalloped Edge Mini Slimline Die and I just love those pretty scallops around the edge!
You might notice the faint text stamp on the background and on the coffee cup and for that I used a stamp from super sponsor Unity Stamp Company called A Faithful Letter.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and having a cup of coffee with me!
Have a great day, I already am!

Paper Smooches April Challenge

The Paper Smooches challenge for the beginning of April is all about beautiful pastel colors!

I was one of the lucky winners from the Paper Smooches March challenge and I decided to use one of the stamp sets I ordered with my gift certificate to make today's card.  I used the So Fairy Cute stamp set and I did a little masking to make my card.  I am just in love with that cute fairy bear and I decided to add lots of sparkle to my card!

What a fun whimsical card and I just love using pastel colors!
Stay safe everyone and have a great day!

Paper Smooches March Challenge

Hello and thanks for joining me today on the old blog!
Today I came across the Paper Smooches Anything Goes March challenge and I have this fun card
using the Rainbow Sherbert Cardstock Die Cuts.

I was lucky enough to attend Creativation this year and had the pleasure of meeting the one and
only Kim Mraz (Miss Paper Smooches) herself and she's a real sweetheart as you may have guessed.
She gifted me an awesome pack of Paper Smooches die cuts and they are adorable!
I used the I Love You die cut with 2 different size hearts and I popped them up on a heart embossed
background for my card.
I blinged it up a bit with some white jewels and adhered it to a pink card base.
Easy Peasy and OH SO CUTE 😉
I am entering this card in the Paper Smooches Anything Goes March Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day, I already am!

I've Coffeelings For You

Good morning and welcome to my ICU!
I am up again today on The Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog and I've got a pre-Valentine's Day card using some old and new stamp sets. If I'm being honest I'm not thrilled with how my card came out. It's one of those cards that looked waaaaaaaay different in my head and didn't come out quite the way I expected.  The funny thing about that is, those are usually the cards that everyone loves.  Go figure!

I was really inspired by a background that Heather Nichols did for Taylored Expressions recently where she did a stenciled cloud background on kraft paper and then she stenciled some red hearts on top of it. That was where the idea for my card started but it just got lost along the way.

Here is my caffeinated inspired card for you today:

I started with a kraft cardstock panel and I stenciled some white ink over the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil. After that I took the Feathered Stencil from Taylored Expressions and brushed on some Cherry Pop ink over the clouds. I die cut the entire panel out with a scalloped rectangle die from Neat and Tangled. For my coffee cup I used the Kat Scrappiness Layered Coffee Cup die. I just love the size of that cup and it comes with a separate die for the koozie which I ran through my paper crimper.
For that cute little bear I fished out an old Simon Says Stamp stamp set called Circle Friends. I always loved the cute little animals in that set. The sentiments are from the recently released Caffeinated stamp set by Paper Smooches.
For a little extra love I added some Red Heart Sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness.

There you have it in all its stenciled glory! I guess you can't love 'em all...
Thank you Heather Nichols for the inspiration, I will continue to be inspired by everything "kraft" related that you do!

Have a great day, I already am!

Sending Warm Hugs

This is my first post in the new year for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers
and today I have a card for you featuring products from 5 different companies!

It's always so much fun when I'm making a card to go on a scavenger hunt
through my collection.  It's always a challenge to find the perfect crafty supply!

Today's card started with the idea of stenciling white hearts on
kraft paper and here is where I ended up.

I started out by cutting a small panel of Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb Cardstock
out of the 2nd largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Next I placed the Taylored Expressions Feathered Stencil over top of it
and sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink.

I just love the sentiments from the Trinity A Latte Love stamp set
so I stamped them over the stenciled hearts with my Misti for perfect placement.
I always get a nice crisp image when I stamp in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.

The outside frame on the card was made using the 2 largest dies from
the Kat Scrappiness Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies.  I cut them out at the
same time to form a frame and I popped it up on foam tape.

The next step was to cut out the cute little coffee cup from the Paper Smooches Sunny Dies.
I used the happy face die from the Paper Smooches Sunnyville Icons for the
sweet little eyes and mouth. I backed the cup in black paper so the eyes and
mouth would show up. The cute little bow on the cup is from the
Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames.  I added some sweet cheeks with an
R20 Copic Marker and some cute white dots on those cheeks with a
Sakura Gelly Rolly White Pen size 10. I also cut some steam from vellum and
adhered it behind the cup.

All that was left to do was to add some sparkly Pink Solid Confetti Mix
from Kat Scrappiness.  I picked them up with my Marvy Uchida Jewel Picker
and adhered them with my favorite Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Here is another picture showing all the fun products that went into this card!

Thanks so much for joining me today here on my blog!
I hope everyone's New Year is off to a great year and I'll be back
real soon for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers with some caffeinated inspiration!

Enjoy your day, I already am!

Cup of Sunshine

Welcome back to my blog and thanks for stopping by!
I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with
your daily dose of caffeine in the Intensive Coffee Unit!
Today I have a card to share with you that I am just in love with!
It features the cutest coffee cup die with an inlaid design that just makes me smile.

This coffee cup die is from Paper Smooches and is called Cuppa Sunshine.
It has the happiest little scene on it featuring an adorable cloud and sun!
I first saw this die from Paper Smooches right here on this blog and
immediately fell in love with it!  The sentiment is from a matching stamp set
called Sunnyville and it has great sentiments and more adorable images to go with the theme.

I wanted to do some ink blending on the background so I used
the largest die from the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers die set to cut out a piece of
Bristol Smooth card stock. Next I took my Taylored Expressions
Feathered stencil and did some ink blending with 3 different colors of Distress inks.
I used Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw.  I just love how those
colors look together.  I think it really compliments the colors in the cup.

I placed my coffee cup and sentiment on to a piece of vellum that was also cut
from the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers dies to
soften the background a little bit and make the cup stand out.
I also stamped some cloud images in light pink from the Sunnyville stamp set on the
base of the card for a little extra added interest.

For some sweet finishing touches I added 3

Thanks so much for joining me today in my ICU,
I'll be back in a couple of weeks with some more caffeinated inspiration for you!

Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Little Stampers May Watercolour Challenge

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to another Watercolour challenge
over at the Happy Little Stampers blog!
This month the theme is anything goes with an optional "Happy" twist.
It't time to celebrate Mom in May so what better card
to make than a Happy Mother's Day card for the happy theme.
Here is my card for this month.

I'm loving this new die from Paper Smooches called Rad Roses!
I used pink and green Kuretake pearlescent paints on watercolor paper
and cut out the roses and leaves.
I used gold foil card stock for the outlines of those beautiful roses.
The "mom" die cut is from Lil Inker and I used the gold foil card stock
again to match the outline of the roses.
The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from a C.C. Designs stamp set
called All About Mom.
And last but not least, the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle frame is from
Kat Scrappiness and I layered it over a panel that I
dry embossed with a rose embossing folder.

Come join us for the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge this month!
We want to see your watercolor projects.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get some free crafty time today!
Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Little Stampers February ATC Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the February

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for February is Stencils.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

For my ATC I decided to use the honeycomb stencils from Papertrey Ink and
blend 4 different colors of distress inks in yellows from light to dark.
I couldn't resist adding in a few cute bees from Paper Smooches
and their pretty LOVE die in red foil card stock!
Just in time for Valentine's Day!

I hope you'll play along with us this month
and enter the ATC challenge at
The winner for this challenge will receive a badge to display on their blog!

Have a great day, I already am!

SSS Wednesday Challenge and a new Stamp company

It's nice to know that my favorite challenges are here every week even when I can't be.  They are always there when I have time to play.  Oh how I wish I had time to play every day but "adulting" always seems to get in the way!
Yesterday was a crafty day however and I had time to play so I headed over to the Simon Says Stamp blog to see what the Wednesday challenge was for this week.  I was happy to see that the theme is to use a die or punch.  I just love my dies and punches and it's rare that I make a card without one.  For today's card I used several dies and an adorable stamp set I recently purchased that I have fallen in love with! There is a new stamp company located in the U.K. called Alpaca Pals.  The artist's name is Tracey Hey and she is so very talented.  Her stamp sets feature the most adorable hand drawn animals and if you haven't see her work yet, I highly recommend checking it out here. Take a look at the super cute Koala on my card today.  It's from her stamp set called "Koality".
How could you not fall in love with that sweet Koala, not to mention the adorable baby in his backpack!❤️🐨❤️
For my card today I made a scene using this sweet Koala.  Since I don't own any Eucalyptus stamps or dies I had to attach my sweet Koala to a palm tree.  I don't think he minds and he looks so cute hanging from that tree! That cute tree is a die from Paper Smooches and the grass die is from Lawn Fawn. Here is the card for today.
The sentiment is from the "Koality" stamp set and it is stamped on another die from Kat Scrappiness called the Distressed Edge Rectangle dies. I cut my Koala out using my
Scan n Cut machine so I guess he is a die cut as well.  Lots of dies on this card to it's perfect for the SSS challenge this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to check out Tracey's stamps, you won't be sorry!
Have a great day everyone!
I already am!

Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Hello Crafty Coffee Lovers!
Kat Scrappiness is hopping along today as a super sponsor with the
The best part about this hop is that you don't have to love coffee to participate!  You just have to love sharing in all of the crafty coffee fun!  I personally do love a good cup of coffee especially at work and I am definitely an iced coffee lover!  If you use coupon code ILOVECOFFEE between 5/25 and 6/1 you will receive 10% off your order in the Kat Scrappiness shop.
Also Kat is giving away two $25 gift cards to the store and a flash prize of a Layered Coffee Cup Die and a "got coffee" sentiment die.

Kat Scrappiness released two awesome coffee themed dies recently and they are so much fun to create with.  The first is a layered coffee cup die and the second is a "got coffee" sentiment die.
Here are the pictures of the two dies:
,

I had fun with these 2 dies and I created 1 gift bag and 3 cards with them.
The first project is the mini gift bag that I assembled using the
Kat Scrappiness Stitched Heart Tags Die.  Thank you to Maria Russell for making a video showing how to make a mini gift bag from these dies.  I decorated the front of the card using the 2 coffee dies
and splattered the aqua heart tag with some Ground Espresso Distress Ink.  The stamped sentiment is from Technique Tuesday's Sassy Coffee stamp set and it is stamped onto a Stitched Flag Die that is new in the KS shop this month.

The next 2 cards feature the Layered Coffee Cup Die again with some fun colorful effects!  The first card below with the pink cup was made using a pearlescent pink watercolor from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi pearl color set.  It really stands out against the embossed background.  I stamped a heart from the Swatches stamp set and heat embossed it in gold on the white cozy. I die cut the "coffee" word from the "got coffee" sentiment 3 times in 3 different colors to repeat down the side of the card.  I finished off the card with some sparkly sequins from Kat's shop.
The second card has a distressed coffee stained background that I achieved by smooshing some Ground Espresso ink onto a piece of acetate and then spraying with water.  I then smooshed the acetate against the cream colored paper to give the distressed coffee colored look.  I love that effect!  I stamped the star from the Swatches stamp set onto the cozy and then sent it through the paper crimper to give it a realistic look.  Same die but two very different looks!

The last card I want to share with you is perfect for the Spring/Summer theme.  It features a very colorful tropical setting with the cutest little Denami hula chickie on the front! I decorated the cup and the cozy with some flowers from My Favorite Things and the grass die is from Lawn Fawn.  The super cute clouds are from Paper Smooches and the bright sun is from My Creative Time. I love how bright and cheery this card turned out and the Kat Scrappiness Layered Coffee Cup Die is the perfect large focal point!

Thanks again for hopping along with Kat Scrappiness today in the Spring and Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  Make sure to check out all of the fun projects from all of the other talented designers today!  Don't forget to use code ILOVECOFFEE to save 10% in the Kat Scrappiness shop from
5/25-6/1.  There is a very large selection of all things crafty in Kat's shop!
Have a fabulous day!

Good morning everyone.  I was browsing the internet last night and came across a guest designer search for Paper Smooches.  They are looking for a guest designer for the month of January.  I thought it would be fun to enter since I have so many fun Paper Smooches cards that I've made over time.  They have such fun quirky characters that make for some awesome cards!  Here are the cards I'm submitting:
