Coffee Date My Daughter

Hi everyone, today is my day up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a very special post for you! This blog post is dedicated to all the incredible teachers out there! More specifically my favorite teacher of all.... my daughter Taylor!

Taylor is my coffee date for today and I am so proud of her. As you all know teaching is one of the many jobs that became infinitely more challenging when COVID hit. Taylor has been working way too many hours every week past her contracted time just to give her students everything they deserve..... sadly it leaves very little personal time. Despite Taylor's lack of personal time she still agreed to be my Coffee Date for today.

Taylor is a planner girl at heart and she loves all things planner related! She agreed to do a planner layout for the week of Valentine's Day and make it coffee themed. But of course real life got in the way and her layout as of tonight was only half done. As she sat writing an IEP for a meeting tomorrow she felt guilty about not finishing her planner layout for our coffee date.  I am going to share the gorgeous layout she started and as you can see she has a COFFEE CUP sticker on Friday the 18th to signify our "date". Taylor is a big fan of the Erin Condren Life Planner and Krissyanne Design's stickers and she uses them frequently in her layouts. Taylor's Instagram account is @prettypaperpieces4u if you'd like to check out all of her other amazing layouts!

Here is a picture of her layout and I am in love with the color scheme and adorable stickers she used for the week of Valentine's Day! Notice the AWESOME "Drink Wine Day" on the 18th!

In keeping with the Valentine's Day theme I decided to make a love themed card that sums up my relationship with Taylor. We definitely go together like coffee and donuts! We craft together and support each other's hobbies. She attended Creativation with me and I am attending Go Wild with her next month. Go Wild is a huge planner convention that takes place once a year for the die hard planner fans.

For my card today I used the adorable Yum Yum stamp set from the Not 2 Shabby Shop. That little hamster is just adorable and her little hands hold lots of little accessories. Today she is enjoying coffee and a donut!

I stamped that adorable hamster onto a panel cut from the Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers Die set and colored her up with my Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. Although it's difficult to see in the picture I did use the Love Splash stencil from A Colorful Life Designs on the card base for some fun pink hearts!

Thank you for joining me today for our Coffee Date! I am honored that Taylor agreed to virtually meet me for coffee and I can't wait to see her completed layout when she is done!

Have a great day! We already are!

Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lovers Hop

Calling all caffeine addicts! It's time for the
Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop put on by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers!
Thank you to Kerry Urbatch for designing the awesome graphic we are using for this hop!

Don't forget to use this social media hashtag when posting to Facebook and Instagram!
#springsummer2021clh

For my first project to start off the hop I have a cute little mini slimline card and
I've used stamps and dies from several of the Super Sponsors!

How adorable is that cute little bunny on my card!!!
You must check out the sweet digital images from Super Sponsor Isabel Cristina on Etsy!
This bunny is from the Coffee Bunnies digital set and comes with 5 different bunny images, 4 sentiments and several mini coffee cups.

For the base of my card I started with the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Scalloped Edge Dies. I just love the mini size of these cards and the scalloped edge is my absolute favorite mini slimline die!
I cut out a piece of pink card stock using the largest scalloped die and then I stenciled over it with
The Rabbit Hole Designs Splish Splash Stencil using a darker pink ink than the card stock.

Once I had that beautiful stenciled pattern I stamped over the entire panel with the
Unity Stamp Love Story stamp and I just love the way the text background stands out!

The next step was to add my Copic colored bunny to a Stitched Scalloped Heart from Kat Scrappiness and I cut it out of a piece of vellum so you can see through to the background.
To add the sentiments from the Coffee Bunnies digital set, I just printed them out a few times until I got the size I wanted and then cut them down and adhered them to the card on foam tape.

To finish off my card and add some shine I adhered some

I really love how this card came out and I just love working with digital images because you can customize them to whatever size you need.
Make sure to check out Isabel's Etsy shop for more cute images!
Thank you to all of the Super Sponsors taking part in the hop and a big shout out to the Sponsors that made my card possible!

Sweet 'n Sassy - Coffee Lovers Collab Hop

Good morning all of you lovely caffeinated papercrafters! Today the Coffee Loving Cardmakers are super excited to be collaborating with Super Sponsor Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

You should have arrived here from Kathy Schweinfurth's blog. If not you'll want to start at the beginning which is the Sweet 'n Sassy blog.

I have 2 projects to share with you today that I made using some new products from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! The 3 coffee themed stamp sets that I used are the Coffee Talk 2 Clear Stamp Set, the I Like Big Cups Stamp Set and the Texture Tiles 9 Stamp Set.

My first project is a card using the Coffee Talk 2 Clear Stamp Set and the I Like Big Cups Stamp Set.

I stamped the coffee cup and sentiment on to a piece of vellum paper so they would stand out yet still show the gorgeous metallic heat embossing on the base of the card. I love the extra added touch of the twine bow with the tiny red glittered heart for a pop of color!

For my second project I decided to go 3-D and make a custom K-Cup holder.
I followed a simple tutorial on YouTube and decorated my holder with the Texture Tiles 9 Stamp Set and I used a sentiment from the Coffee Talk 2 Clear Stamp Set.

This holder was so much fun to construct and decorate and I love the way the text stamp made such a cute background for the sides of the holder!

There is one more stop on the blog hop and it is our very own Coffee Queen Amy Tsuruta
Make sure to head on over and show Amy some love for arranging this fantastic collaboration hop!

Before you go, remember to leave a comment here. One lucky winner from across all the blog stops/comments will win a $25 code to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! We will close the commenting February 5th at 11:59 pm pacific with a winner announced on both the Sweet 'n Sassy and Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blogs on Sunday the 7th.

Thanks so much for joining us today for the blog hop!

Enjoy your day, I already am!

Today I'm sharing my first card as a Coffee Loving Cardmaker design team member and I've used some super cute products from Paper Sweeties!

Paper Sweeties is a returning Super Sponsor to the hop and they will be giving away a gift certificate to their shop as a prize!
Paper Sweeties also has a special sale going on this month for their dolls and outfits:

I wanted my card to have a happy and bright background so I started by stenciling some clouds and a grassy hill onto some Bristol Smooth card stock. I matted the stenciled panel on to some pretty Doodlebug patterned paper.

For the focus of my card I used the adorable Madison doll stamp and she is dressed up for summer with her pedal pushers, adorable bonnet and cute flip flops! Her outfit is from the Aloha stamp set and is stamped on some super cute Doodlebug patterned paper! Her super sized iced coffee cup is from the Coffee, Yes Please stamp set and matching Sweet Cuts! I just love how everything coordinates in the plaid pattern. My sentiment is from the Sweet Mini set called Life Begins After Coffee.

I just love how this card came together.  It has a warm summery feel and it just makes me happy!

The Rabbit Hole March Inspiration Hop Day 1

Good morning and welcome to Day 1 of The Rabbit Hole Designs March Inspiration Hop!
For this release we have a Beautiful Disaster to share with you and I think you are going to fall in love with her! The brand new stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs is called Beautiful Disaster and here is a look at the 4x4 stamp set:

I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set and couldn't wait to create with it.  I used my Copic markers to color this beauty and I was quite happy with how she turned out.  I actually attempted a masking technique and I love the results.

I started by stamping the image on to some masking paper and cutting it out by hand. I then stamped the image onto a panel I cut using the largest Distressed Edge Rectangle Die from Kat Scrappiness and place the mask around the image. Next I took some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and did some ink blending just around the image itself. When I peeled off my mask it was like magic.  I had the perfect ink blended "aura" around my stamped image.

I proceeded to color the image with my Copic markers making sure to pay close attention to the creases in her sweater and the highlights in her hair.

I used some pretty floral patterned paper that I got recently from Stampin Up and adhered it to my card base. I layered the stamped image panel on top of the patterned paper.

To finish off the card I added a few Teal Jewels from Kat Scrappiness for some extra color.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today and for more inspiration from the rest of the design team make sure to hop around to all of their blogs:

I Drink Coffee For Your Protection

Good morning Coffee Loving Crafty Peeps!
I just spent the most amazing weekend in Phoenix, Arizona for Creativation!
I had the privilege of meeting a lot of crafty friends in person and 3 of those people were Coffee Loving Cardmaker Designers that you all know and love! It was so nice meeting
and

It was a nice long weekend full of all things crafty with some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet!
I am up on The Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today and I have a humorous card with a fun coffee bean background.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Distressed Edge Rectangle Nesting Dies and then sponged some light brown ink over a Gina Marie Coffee Bean Stencil. The sentiment on that adorable coffee cup is from CAS-ual Fridays Hot Coffee stamp set and the cup is cut from their Coffee Cup Fri-Dies. I also thought it would be fun to add some laughing emojis to the card so I broke out an older set of Spellbinder dies that I had and created a few fun faces!

This card sums up my Creativation experience so well! There was a lot of laughs and a lot of vanilla lattes! I hope this card gave you a chuckle as well!

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Have a great day, I already am!

Paper Sweeties 7th Birthday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to my blog!
Paper Sweeties is celebrating their 7th birthday all this month!
To help celebrate this milestone, the Coffee Loving Cardmakers are
collaborating with Paper Sweeties to help celebrate!
Both design teams have made beverage/birthday themed
projects to inspire you!

I am a very lucky designer because I am on both of their design teams
so it's an extra special collaboration as I am representing
That's why you will notice 2 different watermarks on my cards.
It just means I love both teams very much!

Now on to my projects

For my first project I made two cute little coffee themed tags with the Sweet Cuts For You
die as a base.  The sweet little coffee cup stamp and die is from the
Coffee, Yes Please stamp and Sweet Cuts die. The sentiment on the tag with the blue
cup is also from the Coffee, Yes Please stamp set.
πŸ‘€πŸ‘€ I have a special sneak peek on these tags as well! πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
Starting on August 15th, those adorable cupcakes will be available as part
of a stamp and die set called Cupcakes and Sprinkles!
Wait til you see what the Paper Sweeties designers have in store
for you with the new release starting August 14th.

The second project I have for you today is a sweet card that uses images and dies from
the You Warm My Heart stamp set with matching Sweet Cuts dies.
I layered some pretty patterned paper on to a kraft card base and then placed a
doily in the center.  I popped up the teapot and coffee cup up on foam tape and stamped the
sentiment on to the doily.  The sentiment is from the Coffee, Yes Please stamp set.
Easy peasy but oh so sweet!

You can hop along with us for inspiration and fun!
Here is the hop list for Paper Sweeties followed by the

Exciting Caffeinated News!!!!

Today is the day that I can finally share some exciting news
I've been keeping to myself.
Here is a new logo I've just acquired and I think it sums it up nicely!

I am thrilled and honored to be joining the Coffee Loving Cardmakers

I've been admiring the design team and all of their
caffeinated inspiration for quite some time now!
I've been enjoying taking part in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hops and
was fortunate to win a gift certificate to The Letter Lingo, one of
the super sponsors, for the most recent hop!
I bought the Tea-rrific Stamp Set with my gift certificate and
I thought that this would be the perfect blog post
to share the card I made with it!

I just love that little girl peeking out from behind her coffee cup!
I cut a piece of cream colored card stock out with the
Zig Zag Rectangle Dies by Kat Scrappiness and then
I used the Tim Holtz coffee embossing folder to emboss that panel.
I stamped the sentiment on to a small Spellbinders tag die and finished
it off with some twine!  A couple of Teal Jewels by the sentiment
for a little color and shine and my card was done!

Thanks for stopping by today to share in my good news!
I hope you'll follow the Coffee Loving Cardmakers if you don't already!
