Pre-Thanksgiving Advice!

Good morning! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog with another caffeinated card to inspire you!

In just 2 short days, Thanksgiving 2020 will be taking place and it will be the most memorable Thanksgiving of all time...... Or maybe the one we will all want to forget given the current climate.
One thing is for sure, Thanksgiving means family and food and whether you are going to be seeing family this year or having a quiet Turkey day at home, make sure you have your beverage of choice and you relax and appreciate your family near or far!

With all the holiday hustle and bustle it is easy to get frustrated and have our patience tested so my card today is a reminder to drink your coffee (or beverage of choice) instead of saying bad words to strangers! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

One of my favorite cards to make is a shaker card and every now and then I like to shake it up a little by making a square card.  I just love the symmetrical look they have. Today I thought it would be fun to use my favorite critter from The Rabbit Hole Designs caffeinated line, the Caffeinated Bee!
☕️ 🐝 ☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝

I started out making this card by using the Heart Masking stencil from Taylored Expressions and blending 2 different Distress Oxide inks, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.
The next step was to take that hilarious sentiment from the CAS-ual Friday's stamp set titled
"Hot Coffee Stamps".  Before I moved on the shaker portion of the card I added some fun black splatters to the card for a little more interest.

For the outside black frame of my card I used the Stitched Scalloped Square Nesting Dies from Kat Scrappiness. I cut the largest die from the set using black card stock and then I used the second largest die from the Double Stitched Square dies to cut a window out of it. I glued some acetate behind the window to complete the shaker portion and then I adhered foam tape to raise the panel up making room for my shaker bits.
When I make a shaker card I like to sprinkle my bits on the base of my card and then position the top panel over the bits so I can properly center the panel on my card.  My shaker bits are all from Kat Scrappiness and consist of these 3 products:

I think it's a lot of fun to mix a concoction of shaker bits from different sets to make a fun mix for my shaker cards! The last step was to color that cute little bee with my Copic markers and adhere him to the front of my card. I love to used sparkly Stickles on the bees wings to really make them stand out!

I always enjoy a fun shaker card, I love the interactive nature of the card and they really give you the opportunity to customize your card to your liking.  Making the shaker bits mix is always a bit like being in the kitchen and making up a brand new recipe!
Here is a look at all the fun products I used to make my card.

Thanks so much for BUZZING by my ICU today! I sincerely hope that everyone has a safe and fun Thanksgiving no matter where you spend your day and no matter who you spend it with!

Have a great day, I already am!

Coffee Makes Everything Ok!

Welcome to my blog! Today I have another caffeinated card for

For my card today I used the brand new Coffee Time background die that just came out from

This new background die is really cool because it cuts out lots of little coffee beans that could be used for a coffee themed shaker card. I added a sentiment from the Hot Coffee stamp set from
CAS-ual Fridays. I use this stamp set a lot because it has the funniest, snarkiest coffee sentiments around! I stamped the sentiment on to some teal paper to match the background die and I matted it on to a piece of kraft card stock that I cut out with the Stitched Postage Stamp die from Kat Scrappiness.

For some extra added fun I added a some seam binding from Paper Sweeties and an old button from my Papertrey Ink stash.

I love how this card came out, the background die has so much character it doesn't need much else to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Have a great day, I already am!

I Drink Coffee For Your Protection

Good morning Coffee Loving Crafty Peeps!
I just spent the most amazing weekend in Phoenix, Arizona for Creativation!
I had the privilege of meeting a lot of crafty friends in person and 3 of those people were Coffee Loving Cardmaker Designers that you all know and love! It was so nice meeting
and

It was a nice long weekend full of all things crafty with some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet!
I am up on The Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today and I have a humorous card with a fun coffee bean background.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Distressed Edge Rectangle Nesting Dies and then sponged some light brown ink over a Gina Marie Coffee Bean Stencil. The sentiment on that adorable coffee cup is from CAS-ual Fridays Hot Coffee stamp set and the cup is cut from their Coffee Cup Fri-Dies. I also thought it would be fun to add some laughing emojis to the card so I broke out an older set of Spellbinder dies that I had and created a few fun faces!

This card sums up my Creativation experience so well! There was a lot of laughs and a lot of vanilla lattes! I hope this card gave you a chuckle as well!

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Have a great day, I already am!

A Cup of Patience

Well is Christmas Eve 2019 and here we are Coffee Lovers!
I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with a cup of patience.

Let me explain why this is actually a cup of patience...

Many of you are scurrying around and getting ready to have
company over or preparing yourselves to head out to family and friends.
Either way Christmas is a holiday filled with lots and lots and lots of people!!!
You know what that means......... some you love and some...... not so much......

Some of you will need extra patience today to deal with all the
personalities you will encounter today so this card is for you!

This card just looks like just another holiday coffee card but when you pull
out the tag from inside it reveals a super funny sentiment
perfect for those of you who need just a little chuckle today...

I laughed so hard when I saw this sentiment from the Hot Coffee stamp set
from CAS-ual Fridays and I knew that it would
be the perfect stamp to use for this sometimes stressful season.

I started off with the new Coffee Gift Card Holder Die from My Creative Time
and instead of inserting a gift card I decided to add my sentiment on a tag
that you could pull out. I decorated the cup with some fun holiday
Doodlebug Christmas Town patterned paper to match the poinsettia flowers.
I just love these beautiful Layering Poinsettia dies from Hero Arts. I used some Festive Berries
Distress Oxide Ink for the flowers and Mowed Lawn for the leaves.
I die cut the center of the leaves out in gold foil cardstock.

Here is a closeup of the beautiful flowers:

Thank you so much for joining me on the morning of Christmas Eve 2019
for a little cup of patience. I hope this card and post put a smile on your face
and gives you a little boost of patience to face those friends and family
that require just a little more patience!
Happy Holidays and enjoy your day,
I already am!

Scavenger Hunt Slippers Card πŸ˜‚

Ok first of all let me explain the blog post title...
First of all I know I can't be the only one who gets inspiration from odd places right? My card for today came from an interesting place.  I've had a really cute pair of slippers for a while and lately I've been thinking they would make a really cute coffee card. Here is a picture of the super cute slippers.

This brings me to the other part of my blog post title. The Scavenger Hunt...  To make this card I went on a scavenger hunt in my craft room.  Now I know you all have done that! I knew I had several coffee cup dies but I had to search for eyelashes, a mouth and steam.  That's where the fun began! Here's the card and then I'll tell you about the scavenger hunt results.

To start with I used the really cute coffee cup die from Cas-ual Fridays because I adore the heart shaped handle. One of my favorite things about the slippers is the silver glittery sparkled cup so that was easy! Next came the fancy eyelashes.  I looked far and wide but finally realized that the only thing I had was a Pinkfresh Studio stamp of eyelashes.  The easiest thing to do was stamp them and let my "scan-n-cut" cut them out for me.  Hand cutting was not an option....too detailed for me. The mouth came from a small circle punch that I cut and then cut into again to form a little mouth. Moving on to the steam, I tried several methods including using white paint to make the steam and only succeeded in making a messπŸ™„ I finally remembered that I had a My Favorite Things coffee cup die set with steam dies, so much easier than paint!  The cute alphabet dies came from Jaded Blossom and I did a little bit of surgery to alter some of the letters to get that random whimsical look. The background for the card is some Hawaiian Shores Bitty Big striped paper from Papertrey Ink.
Well that's the card for today.  I am entering it into the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week since the theme is anything goes.

I hope you are all enjoying your week!
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day,I already am!

Happy Little Stampers ATC July Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am super excited to be joining the Happy Little Stampers ATC challenge team.  Thank you Kylie for this great opportunity!  Every month Happy Little Stampers has an ATC challenge and the theme for July is Coffee!  For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world. Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.  There is certainly no lack of coffee themed art these days and it is so much fun to create!  For my project I created 4 ATC's with some awesome faux coffee stained backgrounds.
Here are the 4 cards I made for this challenge.

I used 2 different coffee cup dies, 1 from Spellbinders and 1 from Cas-ual Fridays and the sentiment stamps are from Technique Tuesday and Cas-ual Fridays.
Here are closeups of the individual cards.

I hope you'll play along this month and enter the ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers!

Winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

Have a great day, I already am!
