Santa Tag

Welcome to my blog! Today I have a Christmas tag that I created using the new stamp set released by The Rabbit Hole Designs called Kringle. I started off by die cutting the largest tag from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Nesting Dies in white card stock.
For the background of the tag I used the Candy Twist Stencil and some Nuvo Glacier Paste in Golden Era. While the Nuvo paste was drying it was time to prepare Mr. Kringle for the tag.
I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored him in with my Copic Markers.
My Scan n Cut did a great job of cutting him out and for some extra added fun I added some fun white puff to his hat and hems with a snow pen.
(It's hard to see in the pic but in real life it's a fun effect!)

Once the tag was completely dry I die cut HO HO HO from red glitter paper and adhered it down the right side leaving room on the left for Old Saint Nick. He got popped up on foam tape and the only thing left to do was to add ribbon and bakers twine to the top of the tag.

Rabbit Hole products used on this tag:

I just love how this tag turned out and how much fun it was to make!

You can also find The Rabbit Hole products at Simon Says Stamp!

A Cup of Patience

Well is Christmas Eve 2019 and here we are Coffee Lovers!
I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with a cup of patience.

Let me explain why this is actually a cup of patience...

Many of you are scurrying around and getting ready to have
company over or preparing yourselves to head out to family and friends.
Either way Christmas is a holiday filled with lots and lots and lots of people!!!
You know what that means......... some you love and some...... not so much......

Some of you will need extra patience today to deal with all the
personalities you will encounter today so this card is for you!

This card just looks like just another holiday coffee card but when you pull
out the tag from inside it reveals a super funny sentiment
perfect for those of you who need just a little chuckle today...

I laughed so hard when I saw this sentiment from the Hot Coffee stamp set
from CAS-ual Fridays and I knew that it would
be the perfect stamp to use for this sometimes stressful season.

I started off with the new Coffee Gift Card Holder Die from My Creative Time
and instead of inserting a gift card I decided to add my sentiment on a tag
that you could pull out. I decorated the cup with some fun holiday
Doodlebug Christmas Town patterned paper to match the poinsettia flowers.
I just love these beautiful Layering Poinsettia dies from Hero Arts. I used some Festive Berries
Distress Oxide Ink for the flowers and Mowed Lawn for the leaves.
I die cut the center of the leaves out in gold foil cardstock.

Here is a closeup of the beautiful flowers:

Thank you so much for joining me on the morning of Christmas Eve 2019
for a little cup of patience. I hope this card and post put a smile on your face
and gives you a little boost of patience to face those friends and family
that require just a little more patience!
Happy Holidays and enjoy your day,
I already am!

Happy Little Stampers June ATC Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the June

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for June is Christmas.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

For this month's challenge I decided to go with a more traditional
mixed media design.  The PEACE die cut is from Papertrey Ink and I cut it
from red foil cardstock.  I must admit it felt a little weird making Christmas
crafts in June but it was a change of pace from all the flowers and
summer themed projects!

I hope you'll play along with us this month
and enter the ATC challenge at
The winner for this challenge will receive a badge to display on their blog!

Have a great day, I already am!

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Paper Sweeties

Welcome to my blog today crafty friends!
Paper Sweeties is participating in the 8th annual
25 Days of Christmas Tags and a
special thanks to Tracey McNeely for hosting this fun event!

Every day in November through the 26th, a different company will be represented and participate by having their
Design Team Members share Christmas
tags to inspire you using their new products!
All the details can be found on Tracy's blog.

Today it's our turn at Paper Sweeties to share some
festive tags with you!
I made a trio of Christmas tags featuring a new stamp
set from Paper Sweeties called "Merry"
that will be available for purchase on November 15th!
This stamp set features a great assortment of holiday themed words that are perfect for cards,
scrapbook layouts, tags and yes even ornaments!

I used 3 of the word stamps from the set and heat embossed them in red, silver and gold on to vellum and I framed them with the Rectangle Scallop Frame dies. I die cut the frames out of red, silver and gold glitter paper to give them some holiday sparkle! I love how elegant they look on the vellum!
Here is a closeup look at them individually.

I hope you liked my Christmas tags and I hope they have inspired you to make your own!

Here is the blog list of the other fabulous
 Paper Sweeties DT members!
Make sure to visit their blogs so you can see the
Christmas tags they made
using Paper Sweeties stamps and dies.

Don't forget to check back next week to see the brand new stamp set being released in the Paper Sweeties store!

Happy Little Stampers ATC October Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for October is Holiday.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

For my holiday ATC card this month I decided to made a mini Christmas card.
I mounted my chalkboard style sentiment onto a red and white
polka dot glittered card stock background.
I also added some holly leaves with berries to the upper corner in some green and red glittered card stock.  It was a very glittery project and I might be cleaning up glitter for months.
