Cats and Coffee!

Hello my coffee loving card makers! It's my day on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I'm so happy to be here and not at work in my real ICU! I'm sure every nurse, teacher, and Indian chief will tell you they are severely understaffed and overworked! Honestly though, it makes me even more grateful for my card making hobby because it is my escape and my sanity!

My card today incorporates 2 things I LOVE! Coffee and cats... I have 2 cats of my own and iced coffee runs through my veins! I love making my own cold brew at home, it's delicious! My card today features a new stamp set from the Ink Blot Shop.

I'm just in love with that fat cat! The set is called Fat Cats and there are 5 cute cat images in the set with lots of feline accessories! The coffee cups in the background are from an older Lawn Fawn set called Love You a Latte and the sentiment is from the Perk Up stamp set from Jaded Blossom. I matted everything on to the Postal Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti.

This was a fun card to make and I can't wait to color up the other 4 kitties in that stamp set!

Have a great day! I already am!

A Cup of Joy

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It's my day again up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have another caffeinated creation to share with you today!

Hopefully you all had a chance to take part in the Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lover's hop, it was so much fun to see everyone’s cards and projects!
In case you missed Amy's wrap up post with all of the winners, you can find it here.

I made 12 cards for this hop and I've put them all in a collage to share with you today:

I used lots of different stamps and dies from the many super sponsors and had so much fun!
The bright yellow card with the flower was made using the Better Together stamp set from super sponsor Reverse Confetti. I loved that card so much and I really wanted to use that stamp set again so I made another card for today's post using that stamp set for the flowers and the cute coffee cup is from an older stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Lately I have been enjoying making mini slimline cards and super sponsor Kat Scrappiness carries a whole line of mini slimline dies! I used my favorite one on this card, it's called the Scalloped Edge Mini Slimline Die and I just love those pretty scallops around the edge!
You might notice the faint text stamp on the background and on the coffee cup and for that I used a stamp from super sponsor Unity Stamp Company called A Faithful Letter.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and having a cup of coffee with me!
Have a great day, I already am!

Pumpkin Spice Latte K-Cup Holder

I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog today and I have a special project to share with you!
Although I live in Florida and we won't feel cooler weather here for quite some time, it doesn't change the fact that Fall is here and that means Pumpkin Spice Latte season is here as well!

For today's project I thought it would be fun to create a custom made K-cup holder with a PSL theme!

I followed a very easy YouTube tutorial that you can find by clicking on this link:

Here are the basic scoring measurements and the rest of the assembly is super easy!

The holder itself only uses one piece of 8 1/2 x 11" piece of card stock.
With the 8 1/2" side up, score at 2" and 6 1/2"
With the 11" side up, score at 4", 6 1/4", 8 1/4" and 10 1/2"
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper in sizes 2" x 4 1/4" and 1 3/4" x 4 1/4"

After assembly you can decorate your holder any way you want.  It's super easy and fun!
I cheated on mine because I didn't have any PSL coffee in the house, I printed the graphic off of the internet for the Starbucks PSL K-cup, cut it out and stuck it on my Vanilla flavored K-cups.

Since the holidays are coming up this holder is a quick, easy and inexpensive treat that can be mass produced! It would be perfect for teachers, mail carriers, nail techs, or anyone who deserves a little treat for all they do! The best part is that it can be decorated for any occasion and it is universally sized to fit all K-cups.

For my holder I used some patterned paper from my stash and some clipart for the sentiment on top.
The coffee cup die is an old Top Dog Die that I love and the sentiment on the bottom is from an older Reverse Confetti stamp set.

This was a lot of fun to make and I hope that you'll give it a try! I know you'll be amazed at how truly easy it is to make one yourself! If you want a 4 cup holder you can make 2 of these and glue them back to back to each other! The video even shows you how to cut a handle into the top!

Thanks so much for joining me today!
Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Little Stampers April Watercolour Challenge

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to another Watercolour challenge
over at the Happy Little Stampers blog!
This month the theme is anything goes with an optional "Bright" twist.
Here is my card for this month.

After I made my card I realized that the twist this month was Bright.
Since I loved my card so much I decided to use it anyway.
It's not very bright but I do love the muted colors.
I used some gorgeous watercolor flowers from a fabulous
website called Angie Makes.
She has some free clipart as well as some beautiful watercolor
clipart for sale.  I printed that beautiful flower out and cut it out
with my scan and cut.
I layered it on to some pretty gingham paper from Papertrey Ink
and a Stitched Hex Tag die from Reverse Confetti.
The Thank You word die is from Heidi Swapp.
Watercoloring is one of my loves but I'm not always very good
at it.  Using the pre-painted flowers is a fun way to still get that
whimsical look on your cards!

Come join us for the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge this month!
We want to see your watercolor projects.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get some free crafty time today!
Have a great day, I already am!

Elephant Baby Card

I'm so excited because my new stamps came today from Tracey Hey.  Her line of stamps are called Alpaca Pals and they are adorable! On today's card I colored one of the cute elephants from the Never Forget stamp set.

Tracey has the most adorable hand drawn animals in her stamp sets and they are perfect for all different kinds of cards. I needed a baby card for a shower and I thought this little guy would go well with the theme.
I just love how he looks popped up over the cutout hearts.  I watercolored a panel behind them with zig markers to match the colors in his hat and embellishments.  I finished the card off with a sentiment from Reverse Confetti and some Fabrika Decoru enamel dots in the color "Heavenly".  They are available with many other colors at Kat Scrappiness
I am also going to enter this card in the
since the theme is anything goes.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great day, I already am!

CAS(E) this sketch challenge #254

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I am playing along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge #254
Here is the sketch for this week.

I needed a focal point for my card and that's where Jennifer comes in.  When I can't sleep at night (which is every night) I sit up in bed watching YouTube videos on card making... isn't that what we all do?  Anyway, one of my favorite card makers is Jennifer McGuire and one of the things that I love about her videos is that they are easy to follow.  She makes you feel like you can do any technique she does.  Sometimes it actually works out, like today for example.  I fell in love with her inside out cards and I had to give it a try this morning.  I am absolutely in love with this card and I can't wait to make some more!  I pulled out an old loved stamp set from Avery Elle called "Furry Friends" and I chose the cute dog that looks like my dog Sophie and did some basic copic coloring.  The cute little dog is on the second layer of the card but he peeks through the front of the card, SO CLEVER!  This was such a fun card to make, not too difficult but with stunning results!  The two pictures show the front and inside of the card.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from an older Reverse Confetti stamp set called "Lots To Say".  Here is my card for the challenge, enjoy your weekend and get some crafting time in!
Have a great day!

So many different fun patterned papers to choose from but I went with polka dots and pastels.  Here is my card for the challenge using the stamp set "Donut You Know".
