You Warm My Heart

Hello Crafty Caffeinated friends! It's another day up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and today's card will warm your heart..... literally!

Today's card features a trio of darling little coffee to go cups and a sweet little heart on each koozie!

One of my favorite coffee cup dies is from a company that is no longer in business. Top Dog Dies made this adorable little coffee to go cup die and I just love the little scalloped koozie in this set. It's just so dainty! I especially love the little heart that goes in the middle and I covered the hearts in sparkly Star Dust Stickles for some extra bling!

The sentiment on the card is from the Honey Bee Perfect Blend stamp set. I cut the sentiment into 2 parts so I could split it up on the card. I placed my cups on a panel that I cut out using the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline die from Kat Scrappiness.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I'm so glad I could warm your heart today!

Coffee Coffee Coffee

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It's my day up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a fun card to share with you today!

The truth about today's card is that I had absolutely no plan when I started making it.
I was playing around with some Color Burst powders by Ken Oliver after a video I had seen on You Tube.

Before I knew it I had a very colorful blue and purple background on watercolor paper and I thought a text stamped background would really look good on it. I recently purchased the Tracey Hey stamp set "No Words" and it came with the perfect sized text stamp.

Here's the panel after I cut out the elements for my card:

Once I had the panel stamped I used the Embossed Edge Heart Dies from Kat Scrappiness  to cut out 2 different sized hearts for my card.

Now let me just say that at this point I still had no direction for this card... 😂
I did however think I wanted to turn it into a coffee themed card for today's post so I took out one of my favorite coffee dies from an older company that went out of business.
I used a coffee cup die from Top Dog Dies and I used the blue and purple panel I made to cut out the koozie for the cup.

For the background on my card I used the same text stamp from the colorful panel and I stamped it randomly over the card smudging the black ink here and there to give it a more grungy look.

To finish off my card I die cut the word coffee from the CAS-ual Friday's Coffee Cup Dies 3 times and added some colorful jewels from Kat Scrappiness in Dark Blue and Purple.

This was definitely a different style card than I'm used to making but I had a lot of fun playing around with no particular plan.

Pumpkin Spice Latte K-Cup Holder

I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog today and I have a special project to share with you!
Although I live in Florida and we won't feel cooler weather here for quite some time, it doesn't change the fact that Fall is here and that means Pumpkin Spice Latte season is here as well!

For today's project I thought it would be fun to create a custom made K-cup holder with a PSL theme!

I followed a very easy YouTube tutorial that you can find by clicking on this link:

Here are the basic scoring measurements and the rest of the assembly is super easy!

The holder itself only uses one piece of 8 1/2 x 11" piece of card stock.
With the 8 1/2" side up, score at 2" and 6 1/2"
With the 11" side up, score at 4", 6 1/4", 8 1/4" and 10 1/2"
Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper in sizes 2" x 4 1/4" and 1 3/4" x 4 1/4"

After assembly you can decorate your holder any way you want.  It's super easy and fun!
I cheated on mine because I didn't have any PSL coffee in the house, I printed the graphic off of the internet for the Starbucks PSL K-cup, cut it out and stuck it on my Vanilla flavored K-cups.

Since the holidays are coming up this holder is a quick, easy and inexpensive treat that can be mass produced! It would be perfect for teachers, mail carriers, nail techs, or anyone who deserves a little treat for all they do! The best part is that it can be decorated for any occasion and it is universally sized to fit all K-cups.

For my holder I used some patterned paper from my stash and some clipart for the sentiment on top.
The coffee cup die is an old Top Dog Die that I love and the sentiment on the bottom is from an older Reverse Confetti stamp set.

This was a lot of fun to make and I hope that you'll give it a try! I know you'll be amazed at how truly easy it is to make one yourself! If you want a 4 cup holder you can make 2 of these and glue them back to back to each other! The video even shows you how to cut a handle into the top!

Thanks so much for joining me today!
Have a great day, I already am!

CAS(E) this Sketch #256

Good morning crafty friends.  Today I am happily playing along at CAS(E) this Sketch.  Here is the challenging but fun sketch for this week.
I love the idea of the repeated elements and I decided to duplicate my fun coffee cups from my Top Dog Dies set.  Unfortunately Top Dog went out of business, they had the cutest dies!
To add interest to the background, I used a Tim Holtz coffee cup embossing folder on the background of the card and popped the 3 coffee cups up on foam tape. The cute sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Coffee and Tea.  Here is my entry for this week.
I'm loving how it came out with the pretty watercolor coffee cozies.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!
