Paper Sweeties 7th Birthday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

Paper Sweeties is celebrating their 7th birthday all this month!

To help celebrate this milestone, the Coffee Loving Cardmakers are 

collaborating with Paper Sweeties to help celebrate! 

Both design teams have made beverage/birthday themed 

projects to inspire you! 

I am a very lucky designer because I am on both of their design teams

so it's an extra special collaboration as I am representing 

Paper Sweeties AND Coffee Loving Cardmakers!

That's why you will notice 2 different watermarks on my cards.

It just means I love both teams very much!

Now on to my projects

For my first project I made two cute little coffee themed tags with the Sweet Cuts For You 

die as a base.  The sweet little coffee cup stamp and die is from the 

Coffee, Yes Please stamp and Sweet Cuts die. The sentiment on the tag with the blue 

cup is also from the Coffee, Yes Please stamp set.

Starting on August 15th, those adorable cupcakes will be available as part

of a stamp and die set called Cupcakes and Sprinkles!

Wait til you see what the Paper Sweeties designers have in store

for you with the new release starting August 14th.

The second project I have for you today is a sweet card that uses images and dies from 

the You Warm My Heart stamp set with matching Sweet Cuts dies.

I layered some pretty patterned paper on to a kraft card base and then placed a 

doily in the center.  I popped up the teapot and coffee cup up on foam tape and stamped the

sentiment on to the doily.  The sentiment is from the Coffee, Yes Please stamp set.

Easy peasy but oh so sweet!

PTI Make It Monday and SSS Monday Challenge

Time for another Make it Monday with Papertrey Ink.  Today's technique is shadowed sentiments.  It looks nice if you get it right but if you mess up than your sentiment just looks blurry.... ask me how I know😏.  After 2 attempts though I was happy with my final result and here is the card.

My card was inspired by a beautiful card made by Melissa Phillips back in 2013.  I have always loved her style and I still find so much inspiration in her work!  Thank you Melissa💗

I used one of my favorite PTI stamp sets, Rosie Posie, it is timeless.  The sentiment is from Boutique Borders : Birthday and I used the Tag Sale #2 die to be the main focus.  One beautiful flourish behind the tag is from another PTI oldie but goodie simply called Embellishments.  I finished off the card with a sweet little twine bow and I am loving the finished card!

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Their challenge this week was to use a tag in your project.

Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge

Today I'm joining Altenew for their January Inspiration Challenge.  The inspiration photo has some brightly colored flowers and I was in the mood to try some watercoloring today.  I used the Tulip stamp set and after I stamped the tulip images I watercolored them with watercolor pencils.  Next I stamped the stems on a piece of white cardstock and then embossed the panel with a woodgrain embossing folder.  The next step was to cut out the tulips and pop them up on the embossed panel.  I added some stickles over top of the flowers to give them some sparkle.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was then heat embossed in white on a kraft color banner I cut from the MFT fishtail flag die set.  Lately I've been loving adding twine bows to my cards so I pulled out my lovely PTI twine and made a bow.  Here is my card for today.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out. 💗💛💚💙
