Happy Little Stampers March ATC Challenge

Hello everyone!
I am back again with the March

Every month Happy Little Stampers has an
ATC challenge and the theme for March is Hearts.
For anyone who isn't familiar with ATC cards, they are mini
works of art that measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are traded around the world.
Usually they are numbered and signed on the back by the artist.

Here is my ATC card for this month:

For my ATC this month I decided to use a brick embossing folder on
my card base and do some blending over it with Vintage Photo
Distress Oxide ink keeping it lighter in the middle.
I darkened the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink
to bring more focus to the center of the card.

Next I took some Barn Door Distress Ink and did
some ink blending on white card stock until it was nice and dark.
I then punched out 2 heart shaped die cuts out of it and
inked their edges with Black Soot to match the edges of the card.

My Tim Holtz sticker book had the perfect sentiment to tie
into this month's theme of hearts so I cut it
into smaller pieces and inked the edges as well.

To finish off my ATC card I tied red and brown twine
around the top of the card for a little more interest.

I hope you'll play along with us this month
and enter the ATC challenge at
The winner for this challenge will receive a badge to display on their blog!

Have a great day, I already am!

Altenew January 2018 Inspiration Challenge

Today I'm joining Altenew for their January Inspiration Challenge.  The inspiration photo has some brightly colored flowers and I was in the mood to try some watercoloring today.  I used the Tulip stamp set and after I stamped the tulip images I watercolored them with watercolor pencils.  Next I stamped the stems on a piece of white cardstock and then embossed the panel with a woodgrain embossing folder.  The next step was to cut out the tulips and pop them up on the embossed panel.  I added some stickles over top of the flowers to give them some sparkle.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was then heat embossed in white on a kraft color banner I cut from the MFT fishtail flag die set.  Lately I've been loving adding twine bows to my cards so I pulled out my lovely PTI twine and made a bow.  Here is my card for today.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out. πŸ’—πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I hope you are enjoying your day, I certainly am!

Papertrey Ink Create Along With Us

I am a long time admirer of all things Papertrey Ink.  I was so shocked to find out that Nichole was leaving but I'm sure it was the right decision for her and I wish her luck!  The talented designers at PTI have always inspired me to create some amazing cards and projects and today was no different.  Heather Nichols is one of the designers that I have always admired.  I love her classy style and I have a feeling that she loves kraft card stock as much as I do.  Here is the card that she made for the December release that I fell in love with and inspired my card today:
I am entering my card into the Create Along With Us challenge for the December release.
I used one of my favorite floral stamps, Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie 2 with the Holiday die cut from the Wonderful Words: Holidays set.  I stamped the word "HUGS" with the Fresh Alphabet stamp set.  I finished it off with a bow made from rustic jute twine.  I love how the card came together in the end and I can't wait for the Farmers Market Floral stamps to be released!
Here is my card:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
