Coffee Loving Cardmakers / Trinity Collaboration

Good morning and welcome back to my blog crafty friends!
Today the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Trinity Stamps are teaming up
to bring you a collaboration hop using their brand new stamp set:
This is a fun coffee themed stamp set that was the brainchild of the Coffee Lovers
and Trinity design teams.  The girls from both teams spent a lot of time
collaborating and tossing around ideas for a stamp set that was coffee themed
and centered around an "on the go" coffee shop and WALLA!

The card I made today uses this stamp set and the Trinity Coffee Mug Card Die Set
I thought the boy and girl images from the set would look really cute on the
Mug backed by the coffee bean background.
Here is my card for today:

This set was a lot of fun to work with and it was a great opportunity to collaborate
with Trinity stamps for a fun hop.
There will be a $20 gift certificate to be selected from participating blogs.
You must comment on all the blogs to be eligible for the prize.
Commenting will close on 10/22 at 11:59 PM (PST)
Winner will be announced on 10/26 on the Trinity Blog.

Here is the hop list for you to follow along:

#wideawake

I'm up on the Rabbit Hole blog today with a really tired Owl!
He definitely looks like how I feel today! It was a busy weekend but a fun weekend
so I don't mine a little sleep deprivation!  I had a fun crafty weekend and spent
time with my daughter's for a girls weekend away.

I thought it would be cute to put the Caffeinated Owl
on to his very own coffee mug.

I really like how he looks and the sentiment #wideawake cracks me up!
I used the caffeine molecule for the background of the mug.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!

The Rabbit Hole/Therm O Web Collaboration

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog!
I am so excited because I am up on The Rabbit Hole blog today with something fun!
The Rabbit Hole Designs has teamed up with Therm O Web to bring you some awesome
projects! Today I have 2 fun cards to share with you using the Rainbow and Teal Decofoil.
I had so much fun with the Decofoil because I've never used it before.
Once I foiled one or two images I was hooked and the dog and cats were lucky I didn't foil them too!

Here is my first card using the Rainbow Decofoil and the Sofishticated
stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

For my first card I decided to try foiling an image printed from my laser printer.
Since I knew that the Decofoil would stick to toner I had the idea to stamp an image
in black ink and scan it into my laser printer.  Once the printer printed out the scanned image
I ran it through my laminator with the Rainbow Decofoil and watched the magic happen.
The results were stunning!  As always with foiling on cards, it's so hard to capture the true
shine and magic in a a photograph.  Those of you who have tried foiling and photographing
know what I mean. The Zentangle style of the fish in the Sofishticated stamp set really pick
up the rainbow foil in such amazing detail. I was so impressed with the results of foiling
over the toner, I decided to foil the sentiment as well!

Here is the Seahorse on a bookmark from the same stamp set foiled the exact same way
and I love it just as much as the pretty fish!

For my second card I decided to try foiling with a different technique.
I used the Decofoil Transfer Gel and the Teal Decofoil.
I used a wavy stencil and layered the transfer gel over top and let it dry over night.
The next morning I took the stenciled panel and laid the Teal Decofoil over it and sent it
through the laminator. Once again, amazing results!
I just love the Inky stamp set from The Rabbit Hole and I thought that
googly eyed octopus would look so good against all that shiny foiling!
I cut out a circular shape from the center of the wavy panel for this card and I used the rest
of the panel for another shaker card I'll share below.

There are so many ways to foil and they're all so much fun!
I used the leftover panel from the above card to make this awesome shaker card
once again using the Sofishticated stamp set.

You can really see the shine in this picture because of the way the light is hitting it.
Once again the shine is so impressive!

This was my first experience with foiling and I was surprised how easy it was to do!
There is plenty of inspiration on the Therm O Web website and tons of YouTube videos
to show you the many ways to achieve that beautiful shiny look!
A big thank you to Therm O Web for supplying our DT with products so
that we could try out this fun technique!

Miss You a Latte

Welcome back to my blog crafty friends.
It's my day on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog again today and I have
another card for you full of caffeinated inspiration.
Today I'm using a small coffee cup die on my card from the
Hipster 1 dies from Spellbinders.
I just adore those little coffee cup dies with the mini koozies!

The polka dot patterned paper as well as the striped paper are old patterns
from Papertrey Ink that I just adore!
I used the largest die from the Wonky Wavy Stitched Rectangle dies
from Kat Scrappiness to cut out the polka dot paper and then I inked the edges.

The light teal color is so soft and pretty.
The sentiment is from 2 different sets.
The stamped "Miss You A" part is from the Perfect Blend stamp set from
Honey Bee stamps. The "latte" die cut is from the Sugar Pea Designs Coffee Words
die set.  I used Lawn Fawn Rose Gold embossing powder on some card stock and then
cut the word latte out of that.  I also cut some very tiny hearts out of the rose gold
paper as well for the coffee cups.
I really like the soft color palette on this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, I just
love creating my coffee themed cards for the
Coffee Loving Cardmakers and I'll be back again real soon
with some more caffeine inspired creations!

Have a great day! I already am!

You Mocha Life Sweet!

Good morning crafty peeps!
Today on the blog I am sharing a new card using the new release from
The Rabbit Hole Designs. I made a card using the brand new Caffeinated Butterfly!
I am in love with this image, there is so many fun parts to color in her wings!

Let's get right to the card, here is the recipe:

1) I started with a white piece of card stock and I used the blending brushes
from Taylored Expressions in Blueberry and Jelly Donut over the

2) Next I took the largest  Layering Nested Heart die from Kat Scrappiness
and cut a panel from the blended stencil pattern. I also cut a piece of black
card stock from the Stitched Scalloped Heart Die to back the stenciled heart and really
make it pop!

3) I stamped the Caffeinated Butterfly with Gina K Amalagm ink so I could use
my Copic markers to color the butterfly in blues and purples to match the stenciled heart.

4) I used my Scan n Cut to cut out a black matte to put behind the butterfly so she would
really stand out on the white background.

5) For the sentiment I used the Perfectly Blended stamp set from  The Rabbit Hole Designs
and stamped it using Versamark Ink and sprinkled Alabaster White embossing powder from
Brutus Monroe and melted the powder with my heat gun. I cut the sentiment out
using  the Simple Strips die from Taylored Expressions and popped it up on foam tape
towards the bottom right of the card.

6) I also popped up my Butterfly for extra dimension. I cut off part of the
heart so it lined up with the edge of the card for a more organic look.

7) Last but certainly not least I addd some bling with some Purple Jewels from

inspiration from the design team! For our final day we are showcasing 3 more stamp
sets that are now available in the shop! There are 3 more caffeinated critters
being added to the group and here they are:

I am loving this release and I have 3 more cards to share with you today using
these stamp sets.

The first card uses the Caffeinated Owl and some Distress Oxide blending.
The coordinating sentiments really crack me up!

For my second card I used the Caffeinated Reindeer and I layered plenty of faux snow
along the snow banks of the card. Dashing through the NO! Gotta love it!

My last card for today features the Caffeinated Spider.  I fell in love with this little
guy the first time I laid eyes on him! I shared this card on my instagram a few weeks ago
and I wanted to include it again today since the stamp is finally available for purchase in the shop.

Thanks for stopping by today for the last day of the Inspiration Hop!

The Rabbit Hole Designs October Release - Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Designs October release!
I hope you enjoyed all the inspiration yesterday as we showcased the

Today we are introducing 3 new critters to the Caffeinated line of stamps.
Please give a warm Rabbit Hole welcome to:

Those boxer shorts just crack me up!
I have 3 cards for you today using these awesome sets.
My Turkey card is actually an interactive card with a moving slider inside
of it so I will have a short video showing how it moves up and down.

First up is the Caffeinated Boxer.
I just love the hearts on the his shorts, they just crack me up!
I colored him with my Copic markers and popped him up on to a woodgrain background.
The Stitched Zig Zag rectangle dies are from Kat Scrappiness and I love the
extra character they give to the edge of the card! I also stamped the caffeine molecule
from the set all over the light blue panel

Next up is the Caffeinated Butterfly.
I am in love with this little gal and all her beautiful details!
I did some stenciling on the white panel using the Puzzle Box stencil
also available in The Rabbit Hole store.
The Stitched Postage Edge die is from Kat Scrappiness as well and I think
it gives this card an elegant look not to mention the pretty Yellow Jewels for some shine!
The pretty sentiment is from the Steeped in Happiness set that we showcased yesterday.

And last but certainly not least is that depressed Turkey holding a coffee cup
and taking a ride up my interactive card.
This is a view of the front of the card before you open it.

Here is a view of the inside of the card after it's been slid up.
I used a sentiment from the Perfectly Blended stamp set and finished it off
with the word "leftovers" from the Caffeinated Turkey set.

Here is a very brief video to show you the slider in action:

I had a lot of fun with that card as you can see!
Thanks to my daughter Taylor for modeling the interactive card for me!

Ok now it's time for the monthly blog hop to see what the DT has in store for you!
You're going to love what they have made to inspire you!

National Coffee Day "Week" with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers

Hello my caffeinated friends!
I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today with my teamie Annette Allen!
We are part of a week long celebration for National Coffee Day.
There are some awesome Super Sponsors as usual and some fun prizes to be won!
Make sure to check out the hop that started on Sept. 29th and goes through October 6th
on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.

For my card today I used products from 2 of the super sponsors.
I think it's important to note that while everyone has started making their fall themed
cards and projects I live in Florida and Fall hasn't arrived here yet.
Let's face it Fall won't arrive until February and it will only stay for about a week.
Which leads me to my tropical themed card.  The temperature here is in the 90's
so my mind is still in tropical mode.
I just recently bought the Hibiscus Stencil Set  from Super Sponsor
Newton's Nook and I couldn't wait to use it! It really paired well with the
Here is my "out of season" coffee creation.

I started with the Layered Coffee Cup Die from Kat Scrappiness and cut it out
using white card stock. I then took the Hibiscus Stencil Set from Newton's Nook and
laid it over the coffee cup. I used pinks, yellows and greens to fill in the Hibiscus stencil
and I am LOVING the results! The Taylored Expressions blender brushes area a dream
to use and made the stenciling super easy! I layered a piece of vellum over top
of the coffee cup so you could see through to the flowers and then added
an Aloha die cut from Lawn Fawn on top. The pineapple background was made
with an embossing folder over vellum.  I love the way vellum takes on a white
appearance when it is embossed. I adhered everything to a bright pink A2
card base and my card was done.

Please excuse this tropical card in a sea of sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes.
I'm sure I'll be breaking out the pumpkins and sweater stamps any day now.

Here is a look at the super cute card my teamie Annette made.
I am in love with those super cute mice from Waffle Flower!

If you haven't already hopped along to all of the super sponsors for
the National Coffee Day hop, you have until October 6th to do so.
Many of them have awesome prizes and they all have beautiful
inspiration from their talented designers!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great day, I already am!
