HAVE A GREAT DAY!! I ALREADY AM!!
Very quick post today because I should be sleeping right now since I worked all night but I am so excited for tomorrow I just had to blog a little!!! I will have big news to post on my blog and I can't wait but for right now, I am here to quickly enter my card for Isabella's Sketchbook's Challenge ( a wonderful website with adorable digital stamps!!) This week's challenge was to use one of Isabella's digital images that had to do with food. I chose this yummy ice cream sundae and glittered it up! Hope you like it! Please check back on my blog tomorrow for my exciting news!!!!!
For now, here's my card and have a wonderful day!
It has the sweetest teapot and a very colorful background! I searched high and low for the perfect teapot to put on my card and I found one at My Grafico.
They have the cutest digital images and if you can believe it, this gorgeous teapot was one of their freebies! I fell in love with it! I printed it out on patterned paper and cut it out. I am very happy with the final layout! Just a quick post this morning, LOTS of errands to run today!!
Have a great day!
I got the cutest stamp set in the mail today from Lawn Fawn stamps! It's called Sew Lovely. It has the sweetest stamps in it including a sewing machine and a beautiful dress form. I decided to use my new set to make a card for the Caardvarks monochromatic card challenge. I also got the most delicious prima roses in the mail the other day that I've been dying to use and they went perfectly on this card. Although I tend toward the pinks usually, I decided to go with the creams and browns for this card. I think it has a vintage feel with the dress form, roses and lace but I gave the dress a bit of sparkle with some glitter just to jazz it up a bit! Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you think!!
Another quick post to enter one more card over at 2S4Y's website. This one is for Heather's Bonus Sketch. I really enjoyed sewing and pleating the ribbon on the card. I just love how it gives nice dimension to the card. Here's the card and the sketch...
Have a great day everyone!
Hi Everyone! Just popping in quickly today to post a card for 2S4Y's website. This card is from Laura's sketch # 50 and it is the second week for the Design Team call ( a dream of mine as you know :-)) I really had fun with this card. The adorable digital stamp of the two girls is from a cute website called Isabella's Sketchbook, they have adorable graphics! I took a leave from shabby chic and went bold, colorful and fun and I really love the results!! It's nice to actually challenge yourself once in a while! Here is the card and the sketch!
Have a great day!
I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! It's my dream come true!!! 2S4Y is looking for a few new design team members! Those of you who know me, know that this is a DREAM of mine!! The requirements are to submit cards for this week's sketch and next week's sketch. Kazan and Laura are looking for uber talented designers and I am crossing my fingers that this 40 year old mother of 3 has what it takes to be UBER TALENTED... LOL Oh well, it can't hurt to try, right???
Here is Kazan's sketch #50
And here is my take on the sketch. I must admit I had some help in the picture taking department. My creative consultant Jasper was there to oversee production. He's such a ham!!! He can be found in the last picture. :-)
I love to get up in the middle of the night and design cards but boy do I pay for it the next day! Tonight I can honestly say it was worth it! I absolutely LOVE the card I made tonight (actually this morning), seeing as how it is 3:30 a.m. My new favorite blog is The Shabby Tea Room and their challenge this week was to make a card based on this picture of an old quilt and the theme was "It's Hip To Be Square"
I am missing my mom tonight but I understand why she is away. My uncle is very sick so she has gone to be with him and my cousins. My thoughts and prayers are with them for a speedy recovery for my uncle, they are all hurting so badly and it just isn't fair... So this card is in honor of my Mom and her love of quilting and it is meant to be a healing cup of tea for my uncle! Get well quickly Uncle Rocky!!!
They say the first step is admitting that you have a problem! Well, I'm admitting it! LOL I have a GOOD addiction to Papertrey Ink products!!! I can't help it, they are so pretty and well made and versatile!! I just received the Delightful Dahlia stamps and dies and they are even more beautiful in person!! What fun I had making this card! The CPS 162 card sketch this week was a perfect layout to showcase the beauty of this lovely flower! I love to read Dawn McVey's blog and see her new creations! She definitely gave me some of the inspiration for this card! You should most definitely check out her blog if you haven't already. She has some wonderful ideas and a clean fresh style of design. It's no wonder she designs for Papertrey Ink, which is of course a dream of mine! Well, enjoy the card and have a great day!
Here is my card, I used Papertrey products of course and here is the list:
Another cute little card, this time with a sweet little ladybug. I found a new card challenge website thanks to visiting one of my favorite blogs, Papier Girl! It's called Unscripted Sketches and this card fits right into their #50 challenge. Here is the sketch:
I found a wonderful new blog today called The Shabby Tea Room! It's so beautiful with all of it's shabby, vintage pictures and posts. Their challenge this week is called "Embrace The White". The challenge is to use this gorgeous photo for inspiration and create a card or project using mainly white or cream and one other subtle color.
Well, since Mother's Day is right around the corner, I thought this challenge would be perfect for a Mother's Day card! So here's the card with all of my favorite elements, lace, bows, flowers and soft pink hues mixed with light cream!
Had fun today!! I made 2 new cards today. The butterfly card was a lot of fun because I used a new technique I just watched a video on, embossing on vellum. Such beautiful results! Here are the new cards.
I'm so glad Caardvarks is doing a baby card challenge. Their sponsor this week is Clear and Simple Stamps. I think baby cards are my absolute favorite!
Here are five of my favorite baby cards that I have designed.
Ok it's Sunday morning and the house is still quiet so how about one more challenge? I love 2s4y challenges! They have the most unique and fun sketches and I love the designers cards! Their sponsor this week is Just Rite Stampers. Here is the sketch by Kazan this week. I LOVE those scalloped edges and I love how my card came out with the butterfly stamped onto an inked text background.
Enjoy and Happy Sunday!
Happy Passover and Easter to all of my friends and family!
Ok, now that the card challenge is out of the way this morning, I'm going to post all of my new cards for anyone who would like to see them. I wish I was designing these cards for a website or magazine! Maybe some day, who knows??? Anyway, it's my sanity and I am addicted to cardmaking, I guess it could be worse as far as addictions go! Here are the latest.
