Keep Calm and Drink Coffee

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a card to share with you using a pretty little coffee mug from super sponsor Paper Sweeties!

I used the Keep Calm and Drink Coffee stamp set for the sentiment and I cut the coffee cup out of some pretty floral paper using the matching Sweet Cuts die.
I just love the soft look that a lace doily gives to any card and it added to the vintage feel of the whole card. I did some ink blending on the card base and embossed the panel with the Quilted Hearts embossing folder from Sunny Studio Stamps. To finish off the card and give it a little sparkle, I added a few beautiful Cinderella sequins from Unity Stamp Company.

Thanks for stopping by today for a sweet little cup of coffee! Remember to "Keep Calm and Drink Coffee" and everything will be ok!

Have a great day, I already am!

25 Days of Christmas With Paper Sweeties

Hello friends and welcome to my blog!

Today I am sharing my 3rd project for day 22 of the

I am absolutely in love with the card I made today! I got my inspiration from a previous Paper Sweeties design team member, Jill Norwood. She made an awesome video back in August of 2019 using the Sweet Cuts Keep Calm and Drink Coffee die set and stamps from the Merry stamp set. The whip cream on the cups is the top of the cupcake from the Sweet Cuts Cupcakes and Sprinkles dies.

I picked out some pretty gingham paper to cut the mugs out and stamp the festive words on to and the whip cream looks luscious in glitter paper.  I used a sweater patterned embossing folder for the background to give this card a wintery feel. I added some sweet holly leaves and berries from the Sweet Mini Duo - Home stamp and die set. They were the perfect addition to this card. I matted the embossed panel onto a piece of grey gingham paper to tie in the pattern on the cups.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog to see my projects for the Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas! Make sure to check the Paper Sweeties blog every day in December for more inspiration from the rest of the design team!

25 Days of Christmas With Paper Sweeties

Hello friends and welcome to my blog!

Today I am sharing my project for day 21 of the

I made a festive tag using the Homemade With Love stamps and dies and the For You tag die and stamp.

I just love the cute cupcake image from the Homemade With Love stamp set! I stamped the cupcakes and did a little bit of watercoloring and added some polka dots and highlights with my white gel pen. After I cut the cupcakes out with the Homemade With Love - Sweet Cuts dies I added some sparkle to the tops of the cupcakes with some glittery Stickles.

The adorable tag is from the For You stamp set with matching For You - Sweet Cuts die.
I stamped the sentiment from the Homemade With Love stamp set directly on to the tag and then I glued down the 2 cupcakes popping one of them up on foam tape for some dimension.  I finished off the cute tag with some fun red and white twine.

Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today for day 21 of Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas! Make sure to come back tomorrow for another project on day 22!

25 Days of Christmas With Paper Sweeties

Hello friends and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing my project for day 20 of the
I made an elegant Christmas card using the Merry and Bright stamps and dies.

I used the Merry and Bright Sweet Cuts dies to cut the Christmas tree out of some festive plaid paper.
The star, trimmings and base of the tree were cut using gold foil card stock for some added shine.
I chose a fun patterned piece of acetate to mount the tree on and I just love the whimsy it gives to the card.
The acetate was mounted on a white panel and then onto a gold foil panel to tie in the accents from the card. The sentiment was stamped and gold embossed on a strip of paper and foam mounted across the middle of the tree to finish the card off.

Thank you so much for joining me on my blog today for day 20 of Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas! Make sure to come back tomorrow for another project on day 21!

Coffee Chick

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a card to share with you using a digital stamp that I won in the Coffee Lover's Hop from super sponsor

My shaker card uses the Coffee Chick digital stamp from Gerda Steiner and I will be sharing some of the other digital stamps I acquired thanks to my gift certificate from the Coffee Lovers hop.
The Diamond Wire frame die on the front is from Kat Scrappiness as are the 2 different sprinkle mixes I used inside the shaker. There are Red Hearts and Sunny Side Up sprinkles.

I really love that big ol chicken holding that glass of coffee.  The finishing touch was to stamp a sentiment from the Your Next Stamp set Coffee Chick.

Here is one more pic with all of the supplies used picture with the completed card.

Ok everyone go grab your coffee chick and grab some joe together!

Have a great day, I already am!

Santa... Define Naughty!

Happy Turkey Day to all of my crafty peeps! Today I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog with this cheeky Christmas card! The Naughty Christmas Stamp Set with matching Die has the funniest sentiments and this really great scripty "naughty" word die cut.

I started by stenciling a fun background that resembles the Starlight mints that are so popular this time of year. After my panel was all stenciled I cut it out with the largest die from the
For my focal point I colored one of the gnomes from the Christmas Gnomes Stamp Set with my Copic markers and then I gave him some dimension by using a snow marker on his hat and boots.
The sentiment and "naughty" die cut are from the Naughty Christmas Stamp Set with matching Die and I decided to make the die cut nice and shiny by heat embossing it with clear embossing powder!

Here is one more pic with all the supplies used on today's card.

Pre-Thanksgiving Advice!

Good morning! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog with another caffeinated card to inspire you!

In just 2 short days, Thanksgiving 2020 will be taking place and it will be the most memorable Thanksgiving of all time...... Or maybe the one we will all want to forget given the current climate.
One thing is for sure, Thanksgiving means family and food and whether you are going to be seeing family this year or having a quiet Turkey day at home, make sure you have your beverage of choice and you relax and appreciate your family near or far!

With all the holiday hustle and bustle it is easy to get frustrated and have our patience tested so my card today is a reminder to drink your coffee (or beverage of choice) instead of saying bad words to strangers! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

One of my favorite cards to make is a shaker card and every now and then I like to shake it up a little by making a square card.  I just love the symmetrical look they have. Today I thought it would be fun to use my favorite critter from The Rabbit Hole Designs caffeinated line, the Caffeinated Bee!
☕️ 🐝 ☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝☕️ 🐝

I started out making this card by using the Heart Masking stencil from Taylored Expressions and blending 2 different Distress Oxide inks, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.
The next step was to take that hilarious sentiment from the CAS-ual Friday's stamp set titled
"Hot Coffee Stamps".  Before I moved on the shaker portion of the card I added some fun black splatters to the card for a little more interest.

For the outside black frame of my card I used the Stitched Scalloped Square Nesting Dies from Kat Scrappiness. I cut the largest die from the set using black card stock and then I used the second largest die from the Double Stitched Square dies to cut a window out of it. I glued some acetate behind the window to complete the shaker portion and then I adhered foam tape to raise the panel up making room for my shaker bits.
When I make a shaker card I like to sprinkle my bits on the base of my card and then position the top panel over the bits so I can properly center the panel on my card.  My shaker bits are all from Kat Scrappiness and consist of these 3 products:

I think it's a lot of fun to mix a concoction of shaker bits from different sets to make a fun mix for my shaker cards! The last step was to color that cute little bee with my Copic markers and adhere him to the front of my card. I love to used sparkly Stickles on the bees wings to really make them stand out!

I always enjoy a fun shaker card, I love the interactive nature of the card and they really give you the opportunity to customize your card to your liking.  Making the shaker bits mix is always a bit like being in the kitchen and making up a brand new recipe!
Here is a look at all the fun products I used to make my card.

Thanks so much for BUZZING by my ICU today! I sincerely hope that everyone has a safe and fun Thanksgiving no matter where you spend your day and no matter who you spend it with!

Have a great day, I already am!

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello all and welcome to my blog! Today I'm hopping along with Tracey McNeely and Paper Sweeties for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags annual event!

Fun fact: this is the 10th year that Tracey is holding this event! Since 2020 has been a hard year for everyone, Tracey agreed that all of this Christmas tag making fun was just what everyone needed!
I couldn't agree more!

Today I am participating with a Christmas tag that I made using stamps, dies and ribbon from
Paper Sweeties!

I started off with some kraft paper and I cut out my tag using the Sweet Cuts | For You tag die.
The sentiment I used is from the stamp set titled Sweet Mini Duo | Home and
Sweet Mini | Home Add on: Sweet Home. The Duo stamp set also comes with the matching dies for that cute little holly berry cluster that I colored with my Copic markers. I just love how the sentiment looks embossed with white powder. I finished off my tag with some Green Apple seam binding and red and white twine.

Thanks for stopping by today, make sure to check out Tracey's blog and see all of the inspiration that everyone is sharing this holiday season!

Have a great day everyone, I already am!

Kat Scrappiness Holiday CARDAPALOOZA!

Welcome to my blog! Today I have a lot to share with you!
The November release at Kat Scrappiness is amazing and I want to share all of the projects I made using the brand new dies and sprinkles!

I'm going to start with my favorite dies from the release! They are called the

Christmas Shaker Ornament Dies and there are 3 different shapes included in this set. They make the cutest little shakers and I made 4 cards with them but then I took it a step further and created some felt ornaments with them as well. I made most of them with the sewing machine (with my mom's help) and one of them I hand stitched with floss thread. Here are the cards and felt ornaments I created using the fabulous die set.

I will list all linked products used on each project directly under their pictures!

Next up from the new release is this gorgeous
It's perfect for holiday cards or any occasion where a bow would be appropriate!
I have a holiday card and a birthday card to share with you using this new die!

🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

The next die I want to share with you today is another Slimline Die called the
Forest For The Trees Slimline Die and it features a wonderful forest that you can use year round depending on how you decorate it! It also comes with 3 different size mini leaves to decorate your trees with depending on the season!

Here is my card using the Forest For The Trees Slimline Die and it features a Winter Wonderland scene using dies from the Crafter's Essentials Winter Dies.

🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

And last but certainly not least I have one more shaker card to share with you that features an older Kat Scrappiness die that is just perfect for all of your holiday cards!

What an elegant die and it's so easy to create a shaker card using the multiple layers that come with it. You can make separate shaker sections or make one big shaker like I did.  I decided to make a holiday card in some non-traditional colors. This card is pretty simple to let the tree and sequins take center stage.
