Happy Little Stampers May Watercolour Challenge

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to another Watercolour challenge
over at the Happy Little Stampers blog!
This month the theme is anything goes with an optional "Happy" twist.
It't time to celebrate Mom in May so what better card
to make than a Happy Mother's Day card for the happy theme.
Here is my card for this month.

I'm loving this new die from Paper Smooches called Rad Roses!
I used pink and green Kuretake pearlescent paints on watercolor paper
and cut out the roses and leaves.
I used gold foil card stock for the outlines of those beautiful roses.
The "mom" die cut is from Lil Inker and I used the gold foil card stock
again to match the outline of the roses.
The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from a C.C. Designs stamp set
called All About Mom.
And last but not least, the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle frame is from
Kat Scrappiness and I layered it over a panel that I
dry embossed with a rose embossing folder.

Come join us for the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge this month!
We want to see your watercolor projects.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get some free crafty time today!
Have a great day, I already am!

The Rabbit Hole Designs May Release Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of the May release from The Rabbit Hole Designs!
Today they are releasing 2 more new stamp sets and just like yesterday,
these 2 will pair perfectly with each other and lots of other stamp
sets already available in The Rabbit Hole store!

Today's stamp sets are the:

This Caffeinated Shark is just too funny and when you pair him with those
crazy funny Sassy Sentiments oh what fun you'll have!
As a matter of fact, all that sass goes really well with the whole line
of caffeinated critters in The Rabbit Hole Designs shop!

Today I'm sharing 2 cards I made using the Sassy Sentiments stamp set.
I really had fun with these stamps and I know you will too!

For my first card I used the previously released Caffeinated Cat and I thought
it would be funny to put him in jail with his twin BFF!
The sentiment "A good friend bails you out, a best friend is in the same cell with you"
inspired me to make this card.

I wanted to mimic a jail cell so I embossed some gray paper with a brick
embossing folder and added some gray ink to bring out the detail.
Just to make it authentic, I gave those tired cats some striped orange prison
outfits to wear. I personalized their coffee cups with "BFF" to go with the sentiment.

For my second card I used the Caffeinated Rabbit from yesterday's release
and used one of the other funny sentiments from the Sassy Sentiments stamp set.

I wanted a fancy background for this card so I stamped some pretty roses
onto my base and added some pretty pink curtains. This sentiment is just so
funny, I wanted it to seem like this tired rabbit was on stage announcing
those funny birthday wishes!

This release is so much fun and I hope you are enjoying seeing all the
cards with the new stamp sets!

To celebrate day 2 of the release The Rabbit Hole Designs is giving away

Rainbow Card with Video

Welcome back to my blog crafty friends!
Today I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog and I have a fun card to share
with you using the newest Stitched Cloud Backdrop Die from the April Release.
This die puts the cutest stitched clouds into your background
without actually cutting them out.
I thought what better to go with clouds than a fun and colorful rainbow.
What do you do if you don't have a rainbow die?
Well you improvise, right...

I used the Double Stitched Circle Dies to make my bright rainbow
for this card and I added some fun clouds from the He Is Risen Dies .
I used a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Wavy Sayings stamp set
and stamped it onto one of the clouds in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.
I thought it would be cute to add some shiny rain drops to the card
so I used an old teardrop punch from my stash and punched out
5 raindrops to match my rainbow. I wanted to give them a shiny
appearance so I added Gina K Crystalline Drops to each one of them.

I filmed a video to show you just how I made my rainbow from the
Double Stitched Circle Dies and you can watch it here or on YouTube.

The Rabbit Hole Designs May Release Day 1

Welcome back to the fabulous May release from The Rabbit Hole Designs!
I think you're going to love what they have in store for you over the next few days.
To start things off The Rabbit Hole Designs is releasing 2 new stamp sets today
that pair perfectly with each other! As a matter of fact these 2 sets will pair very well
with lots of other stamp sets already available in The Rabbit Hole store!
Today's stamp sets are the:

YAY!!!! The Rabbit Hole Designs finally has a mascot!
Today they are introducing the Caffeinated Rabbit!
What better animal than a rabbit to add to the RABBIT Hole Designs!

This tired rabbit is a perfect addition to the collection of caffeinated critters
already living in The Rabbit Hole Designs store.
The Perfectly Blended stamp set has over 20 of the best
coffee/tea puns and sentiments you could ask for!
You will find yourself reaching for this stamp set over and over.
Not to mention that it goes so well with the entire Rabbit Hole
caffeinated collection of critters!
Today I have two cards and a shaker tag to share with you using the

For my first card I went clean and simple.
I Copic colored my rabbit with some warm grays and then mounted
him on to a white zig zag circle die and added a few clear jewels.
The base of the card was made with some pretty pink striped patterned paper
and I stamped the sentiment from the Caffeinated Rabbit directly on to the striped paper.

For my second card I incorporated the previously released
Caffeinated Flamingo so my tired rabbit could have a friend!
The sentiment I used from the Perfectly Blended stamp set demanded
that the card had some caffeine loving friends on it.
I Copic colored my rabbit and flamingo and cut them out and set them aside.
The base of the card was made by ink blending a rainbow and then covering
it with some pretty scalloped edge panels. I just love how the rainbow peeks
out through the middle of the card!
I popped my flamingo and rabbit up and stamped a sentiment from
Perfectly Blended on the bottom of the card.
I just love this sentiment😂🤣😂
Lastly I added some sparkly jewels around to bring the card together.

For my last project today I made a shaker tag using........... wait for it.........
REAL COFFEE BEANS!
My desk smelled so good the day I made this tag!
I have been wanting to make a project using real coffee beans ever since
I saw Amanda Steven's video of her Caffeinated Cat card.
Here is a link to that awesome card:
I made a shaker tag but I made sure to use an extra thick layer of foam
tape to accommodate those chunky coffee beans!
I just love that funny sentiment!  That Caffeinated Rabbit definitely
looks DEPRESSO!!!

Hogs and Kisses

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog!
That sweet piggy card is my entry for this week's
The sketch is #434 and it looks like this:

I decided to try my hand at no line coloring.
I love the look of it but for me it's harder than it looks.
I don't completely love how my little piggy came out but
I don't hate it either...... that's a start right?
I used the My Favorite Things
Piggy Pebbles stamp set.
I just love Stacey Yacula's artwork, she is so talented!
I used my Zig markers for the watercoloring and a fun Simon Says Stamp
raindrop stencil for the background.  The clouds are from my favorite
Papertrey Ink cloud dies.

What a fun sketch this week at the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.
See you next Wednesday!

Faux Sand for the Caffeinated Crab with Video

Welcome back to my blog friends!
I am up on the Rabbit Hole Designs blog today with another fun card!
I have a card and video to share with you that features a new
technique I recently learned.  I have a way to turn plain kraft card stock
into faux sand! It's so easy to do and so much fun!
Thank goodness for the crafty goddesses that pave the way,
I learned this technique recently from watching a video
by Koren Wiskman where she made the cutest Travelocity gnome.
Her videos are super funny and helpful!
All you need is some paint splatter and some shimmer mist!
I wanted to used the Caffeinated Crab on my card today and I thought
that the perfect background for him was some beach sand!
I even filmed a short video to show you how easy the process is.

The card construction is pretty simple.
I stamped and watercolored 3 tired crabs and used my scan n cut to cut them out.
Once I had the crabs ready to go I also cut out 3 seashells to layer behind them.
I used the Bold Stripes Cover-Up die from My Favorite Things for my background.
It was the perfect die since it had lots of slits in it which was perfect for
slipping my crabs behind.  I stamped #crabby next to each crab and the card was done!

Here is a closeup of the sand so you can see the detail.

See... easy peasy card construction but the fun part was the sand.
Here is a short video to show you how you can make your own!
You can watch it here or on YouTube.

Otterly Lost Without You

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog!
Today I decided to play along with the
The sketch is #433 and it looks like this:

Last night my mom and I were coloring some otters from the
When I saw the sketch today I knew right where to put
those cute little guys!
I did a little stenciling behind them with the new
Feathered stencil from Taylored Expressions.
The added embossing gives the card some dimension.
I am loving how this card turned out, sometimes it
just all falls into place.

Loving playing along in the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenges!
See you next Wednesday!

Tag You're It Challenge #85

It's time for another Tag You're It Challenge!
It's challenge #85 and the theme is Happy Easter.
I just love the cute graphic for this week's challenge,
the bunnies and chick are so cute!

For my tag I started with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Die and I did some
soft ink blending on top with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
The adorable Easter Bounty stamp set from
The Rabbit Hole Designs had the perfect images for this challenge!
I just adore that sweet little bunny and her
oversized carrot! The grass, cloud, and cute little butterflies are all from

Paper Sweeties April 2019 New Release Party!

Good morning and welcome to the New Release Party for Paper Sweeties!
This month the design team is sharing projects with you
using the brand new Hello Stamp Set with matching Sweet Cuts Dies!

For my card today I attempted to make a one layer card.
However, I failed....
I just couldn't help adding that sweet bow to the top of the card.

The base of the card was quite simple to make and
the sweet flowers from the Hello Stamp Set
made quick work of a beautiful card.

I repeatedly stamped the two flowers and the two leaf
stamps all over the card in a random pattern
with pretty pastel colors.

I paired the "Hello" and "Sweet Friend" sentiments
and stamped them in a muted grey ink for a soft look.

I finished off the card with a sweet bow made with
 two pretty flowers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, don't forget to check back tomorrow for
the Release Rewind party and to check out more inspiration from the team!

Paper Sweeties April 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks and Video

Welcome to my blog crafty friends!
I'm glad you're here because Paper Sweeties recently underwent
a website makeover and it's bright, beautiful and very user friendly!
In other fun news, today starts the New Release sneak peeks for the
brand new April stamp set! Make sure to head on over to the new
shop and blog and take a look around!
This month Paper Sweeties is releasing the
Here are pictures of both:

This stamp set features the beautiful Hello sentiment in a flirty font with
lots of additional sentiments to pair it with. It also has 2 flowers and
2 different size leaves.  The matching dies have the beautiful hello word
along with both flowers and both leaves.

For my card I decided to do some gold embossing over an
bright ink blended background.
I used Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade
Distress Inks blended over a piece of Bristol Smooth
card stock. I took the flower stamp and the leaf stamp
from the Hello set and stamped them in Versamark Ink
so I could heat emboss them with WOW gold embossing powder.
I placed the Hello die cut on to a
I finished the card off with a beautiful bow made
from Licorice Seam Binding and 3 sequins
from the Cupcake Sprinkles mix.

I made a video tutorial to show you exactly how I made this card.

Watercoloring Over Gold Embossing

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog.
Today I have a beautiful card to share with you using two beautiful
 Pretty Pink Posh stamps sets!
I absolutely love making floral cards and one of my favorite techniques
is watercoloring over gold embossing. I think it is such an elegant look!
Today I used the Pretty Petunias florals and the Everyday Greetings stamp sets
to make this beautiful garden inspired card.
Lately I've been crushing on this pink and orange combination.
I used 4 different color Distress Inks on this card:

I started off by stamping my flowers in Versamark Ink on to watercolor paper
It's hard to get a good impression on watercolor paper and the
MISTI helps with stamping over and over in the same spot!
I sprinkled WOW gold embossing powder over the Versamark and
melted it with my heat gun.  The gold embossing makes it so easy to watercolor
and stay in the lines. After I watercolored the flowers and leaves I did a light wash
of Peacock Feathers all over the card around the flowers.
I took the Thank You sentiment from Everyday Greetings and stamped it in the
center of the floral panel in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.
I used the scalloped frame die from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20
die set to cut out my floral panel and layered it on a gold foil background.
To finish off my card with some sparkle and shine I used some
Clear Sparkling Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is a closeup of the card so you can see all the gold shimmer from
the embossing and the foil card stock.
I just love that gold shine!

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday
challenge this week.  The theme is No Designer Paper.
Instead of designer paper, I made my own background with pretty flowers.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed
my card and will come back soon for more crafty card
inspiration.  You can visit my IG and Facebook accounts

EGG-stra Awesome Tag

Welcome back to the blog Kat Scrappiness fans!
Today I have a quick and easy tag for you using the adorable
little chick from the Crafter's Essentials Easter Dies.
To start with I blended 3 different ink colors on to some
card stock and cut out a Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag Die for the base.
I used a sentiment from the So Egg-citing stamp set from
Your Next Stamp and I stamped it in Lawn Fawn Forget Me Not ink.
After the stamping was done I embossed the tag with a
polka dot embossing folder.
Next I did some ink blending with Squeezed Lemonade
Distress Ink on white card stock and die cut the chick out of it.
I applied some Spiced Marmalade ink to the beak and feet of the
baby chick. I also cut out the cracked egg from white card stock
and glued the top half over the chick's head.
I applied foam tape to the chick and adhered it to the bottom of
the tag on top of the bottom of the egg.
Every pretty tag needs some pretty ribbon so I made a bow
out of 3 different color ribbons to match the tag
and finished it off with a big blue button.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed
my quick and easy tag!
