Funny Bunny

Hello there! If this is your first time here, welcome, so nice to have you!
I'm up on the Kat Scrappiness blog today and I have a funny bunny card for you.
I die cut one of the Stitched Easter Bunny Outline dies out of brown paper and used a small circular scallop punch to take a piece of the bunny's ear and butt off. If you don't have a scallop punch you could easily use the smallest die from the Stitched Scalloped Circle dies to get the same effect.
Now it looks like someone took 2 bites out of your chocolate bunny.

πŸ‡ πŸ‡ πŸ‡

The next step was to build my card.  I cut some white card stock to 4" x 5 1/4" and embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder from my collection and then adhered it to a teal card base. I used the same teal paper and cut a zig zag oval from the largest Zig Zag Oval dies and then cut one smaller circle using kraft paper.  I mounted my semi-eaten bunny on the kraft paper with foam tape.

All that was left was to stamp and mount my snarky sentiment from The Rabbit Hole Design's
Sassy Sentiments with the same color card stock I had already used.

There you have it...... your funny bunny card.  It's good for Easter, Valentine's Day or just a funny card to lift someone's spirits! I hope you enjoyed today's card and you'll try looking at how you can use your dies in different ways.

That's all for today, don't forget to follow Kat Scrappiness on all
social media platforms to be alerted to new releases, sales and giveaways!

Have a great day, I already am!

B.Y.O.Bengay

Good morning and welcome to my blog!
Today I am up on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I have a snarky birthday card to share with you today. The brand new Sassy Birthday Sentiments 2 have some of the funniest birthday sentiments I've ever seen. I also love the new stencils available in the shop.  They work great as background stamps like the Twisted Sunshine Stencil or they can be masked off to create funny sayings like the "LOL" on my card using the Spell It Stencil! Since this is the birthday month for The Rabbit Hole Designs I decided to use their logo colors for this card.

Card Recipe

1) I started off by blending Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks over the Twisted Sunshine Stencil on to a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock.

2) Next I took the Spell It Stencil and masked off the "L" and the "O" so I could create the abbreviation "LOL" towards the bottom of the card.  I used Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink for this to complete the logo colors for The Rabbit Hole.

3) For the sentiment from Sassy Birthday Sentiments 2 I stamped it with Versamark Ink on to black card stock and heat embossed it with white powder then adhered it across the center of the card.

4) All that was left was to add some pretty Rabbit Hole sequins around the card for some fun!

I am really enjoying the Sassy Birthday sentiments, they are unexpected
and always get a good laugh from the recipient!

Make sure to check out the shop for these products from The Rabbit Hole Designs!

Accident Hair

Did you ever have one of THOSE days at the hairdresser?

Welcome back to my blog!
It's my turn today over on the Rabbit Hole blog and I have
another fun card from the recent September release!

Well, for me, I grew up with 2 parents that were hairdressers so although
I never had a bad experience at the salon, I did have one hairstyle
that left me looking like our poor pumpkin friend.
It was a perm gone bad, ya know 80's hair that was out of control!
Just picture Little Orphan Annie times 10!!
Luckily having 2 parents that were hairdressers they were able to reverse
that perm quickly so there was no permanent damage to my fragile
teenage ego. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Our pumpkin friend is not so lucky so she is rocking the pumpkin
hair that looks like an accident, or at least that's what she's telling her friends!

I recently broke out my Ranger Alcohol Pearl Inks and
started playing around with them and
I wound up with a few backgrounds that I actually liked!
I decided to turn one of them into a card for today's post.

Card Recipe

-I started with some Ranger Yupo paper and some Ranger alcohol blending solution.
I used some blue and orange alcohol ink and mixed them around until I liked
how it all looked together.

-Once it was dry I swiped some Kuretake Starry Colors gold paint randomly
across the panel to give it some extra shine.

-I cut a panel of it out with a Kat Scrappiness zig zag rectangle die and WALLA
instant background! I adhered it with Nuvo adhesive to a white A2 card base.

-My pumpkin friend from Pumpkin Hair Don't Care was stamped
with Copic friendly Gina K amalgam ink and then colored with similar Copic marker
colors from the background of the card.  Here are the colors I used:
YR02, YR18, R46, Y06, BG13, and G00
I then cut Ms. Pumpkin out with a Kat Scrappiness zig zag circle die
to match the background panel edge.

-For the sentiment I used a fitting sentiment from Sassy Sentiments
and stamped it out in black ink and cut it from a smaller
Kat Scrappiness zig zag rectangle die to keep the same theme on the edge.

-I popped the image and sentiment up on some 3M foam tape and
all was good in pumpkin hair land!

Here are the 2 sets I used on today's card:

You're that one friend...

Good morning and welcome to my blog!
It's my turn over on The Rabbit Hole Blog today and I have a fun circle card
to share with you featuring three fun products from The Rabbit Hole Designs!
Those crazy eyed Octopi from the Inky stamp set always make me giggle!

I decided to make a fun round card with this stamp set and incorporate the
Puzzle Box stencil and Sassy Sentiments stamp set as well.

Card Recipe

1) I colored my googly eyed Octopus from the Inky stamp set with
Copic markers and cut her out with my Scan n Cut.

2)  Next I blended 3 different Distress Oxide inks over the Puzzle Box stencil
Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon.

3) Then I cut out a circle die from the stenciled card stock.

4) Lastly I placed Inky up on foam dots and stamped the fun sentiment from
Sassy Sentiments in black ink across the bottom.

Easy peasy and a cute card to give to that "special" friend just for fun!

The Rabbit Hole Designs May Release Day 2

Welcome back to day 2 of the May release from The Rabbit Hole Designs!
Today they are releasing 2 more new stamp sets and just like yesterday,
these 2 will pair perfectly with each other and lots of other stamp
sets already available in The Rabbit Hole store!

Today's stamp sets are the:

This Caffeinated Shark is just too funny and when you pair him with those
crazy funny Sassy Sentiments oh what fun you'll have!
As a matter of fact, all that sass goes really well with the whole line
of caffeinated critters in The Rabbit Hole Designs shop!

Today I'm sharing 2 cards I made using the Sassy Sentiments stamp set.
I really had fun with these stamps and I know you will too!

For my first card I used the previously released Caffeinated Cat and I thought
it would be funny to put him in jail with his twin BFF!
The sentiment "A good friend bails you out, a best friend is in the same cell with you"
inspired me to make this card.

I wanted to mimic a jail cell so I embossed some gray paper with a brick
embossing folder and added some gray ink to bring out the detail.
Just to make it authentic, I gave those tired cats some striped orange prison
outfits to wear. I personalized their coffee cups with "BFF" to go with the sentiment.

For my second card I used the Caffeinated Rabbit from yesterday's release
and used one of the other funny sentiments from the Sassy Sentiments stamp set.

I wanted a fancy background for this card so I stamped some pretty roses
onto my base and added some pretty pink curtains. This sentiment is just so
funny, I wanted it to seem like this tired rabbit was on stage announcing
those funny birthday wishes!

This release is so much fun and I hope you are enjoying seeing all the
cards with the new stamp sets!
