Warm Fuzzies

Hello again Coffee Lovers! It's my day on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog again and today I have an adorable little teddy bear to share with you! He's peeking out from behind his coffee cup sending warm fuzzies!

I don't know about you but sometimes I just want to make a quick and easy card and I just love digital stamps for that very reason! Kadoodle Bug Designs has some of the most adorable clipart you could want. This adorable bear is available in the I need coffee first bundle and it also comes with a few other cute images. I also dressed my card up with some brand new pearls from Kat Scrappiness. Those blue pearls are from the Carolina Blue Pearl Mix and they have the prettiest pearlescent shine!
I also used the Stitched Rectangle dies from Kat Scrappiness to cut out my image after I printed it.
For the sentiment on my card I used the stamp set Warm Fuzzies from Gerda Steiner.
Here is one more pic showing all the supplies used on my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Garden Grandeur Hugs with LDRS

Hello crafty friends! I am excited to announce that I am joining the LDRS Creative family. Today is my first post on the LDRS blog and I am so excited to be joining all of the talented designers over there! I I can't wait to show you what I've created!
I'm a big fan of stencils and the
Garden Grandeur Slimline Layering Stencil Set takes stenciling to the next level! If you're someone who doesn't enjoy the traditional art of coloring and shading then layering stencils just might be for you!
I made a slimline card today and I started out by stamping my
floral image using the
Garden Grandeur Slimline Stamp Set and filling in all the beautiful colors using the  Garden Grandeur Slimline Layering Stencil Set. It's so easy to use because every layer of the stencil lines up perfectly with the image. Once the image was all colored in, I cut it out using the Garden Grandeur Slimline Coordinating Die.
I set the floral die cut aside to work on the rest of the card. The next step was to cut out the Trellis Cover Plate Slimline Die from white card stock. I wanted some soft rainbow colors to show through the Trellis so I did some ink blending on the panel under it.

I adhered the Trellis die cut to the ink blended panel and matted it on to black card stock. I wanted room on my card for the sentiment so I cut the Garden Grandeur floral die in half and adhered it to the top and bottom of my slimline card.
The last step was to add the sentiment. I used the
Chloe Alpha Lowercase Die Set to die cut the word "hugs" out of black card stock to match the base of the card. A few pretty silver embellishments finished this card off nicely!
Here is one more look at the card with all the LDRS supplies used.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I really enjoyed making this card and I look forward to inspiring you each month with the fabulous stamps, dies and stencils from LDRS Creative!
Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Birthday Mini Slimline

Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog! Today I am up on the Kat Scrappiness blog with a clean and simple mini slimline birthday card using some of the latest products from the shop.

I started out by die cutting the Mini Slimline Chevron Coverplate out of some pretty teal paper and backed it with a piece of white card stock.
I used the Happy Day Stamp Set to stamp out Happy Birthday on to a circle cut with the
Double Stitched Circles dies in the same teal paper.

What card would be complete without some pretty embellishments? I finished this card off with some pretty pearls from the Silver Pearl Mix.

I just love how this card came out and it was so quick and easy. Kat Scrappiness has hundreds of products to help you with your card making and scrapbooking so head over to the shop and check it out!

Rainbows and Coffee

Good morning Coffee Lovers! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have another caffeinated creation that I made in my I.C.U. (Intensive Coffee Unit). I'm especially fond of the color scheme on today's card.

I'm up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today and here is my card.

Rainbows have always been one of my favorite things ever since I was a little kid.  I used to love the traditional ROYGBIV order but since I got into card making and using more than just the traditional rainbow, I've discovered even prettier color schemes.  My favorite of all has to be the coral and teal color scheme. For my card today I used the Rainbow Stitches and Strings bundle from Concord and 9th and paired it with a sweet little cup of coffee. I just love the warm feel this card has!

I just love all the new pearl mixes at Kat Scrappiness and the Apricot Pearl Mix was the perfect addition to this card. There are so many colors and they are just beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by today and spending some time in my I.C.U.

I'll be seeing you again real soon for more caffeinated inspiration!

Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Summer

Happy Summer everyone! I'll admit that summer is not my most favorite time of the year mainly because of the hot weather. I'm definitely a cold weather girl but I live in South Florida so I am out of luck! What I do love about summer is the bright and cheery colors and flowers. Kat Scrappiness has you ready for summer with cute sentiments and beach themed dies!

My card today features the Happy Summer Word dies and the flip flops from the Summer Essentials die set. I mounted all of that fun onto the new Sun Spots Background Die.

I just love how pretty these flip flops look in rainbow colors! I added a sparkly bow just for fun!

The big bold sentiment dies are the perfect size for A2 cards and I finished my card off with some pretty little Seafoam Pearls. There are so many pearl mixes in the Kat Scrappiness shop to choose from!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have an awesome day!

I already am!

Happy Vibes!

Hello and welcome back to my blog!
It's my day to take over the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog again and today I have a cute little Corgi to bring you some happy vibes!

Isn't that just the cutest little puppy you've ever seen! I just love his cool shades!

The patterned background paper is from the Coffee Lovers Paper Pack from Unity Stamps and the cool sentiment is from the Latte Happy Vibes stamp set from Your Next Stamp.

My cute little Corgi is actually a vinyl sticker from my daughter's Etsy shop The Paper Garden Gals. These vinyl stickers can be used on cards, cups, computers, or anything you want to decorate. There are lots more coffee themed vinyl stickers in her shop to check out as well!

Love and Coffee

Hello and welcome back to my blog!
It's my day to take over the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog again and I have a double shot of iced coffee to share with you today! I have been obsessed with the Shaken Iced Espresso from Starbucks lately and I don't usually like their coffee because it's too strong. This particular drink is perfect though and I can't get enough! I found a video by Nichol Spohr on YouTube that shows how to make the perfect iced coffee and I've made quite a few cards lately using it.
Here is a link to her video if you are interested:
These coffee cups come out looking so realistic!

Here is my card for today, check out the card recipe below:

For my card I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and I cut out a panel using the largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rectangle Dies. I wanted a soft color in the background so I used my Domed foam applicators to apply a light covering of Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink.

The next step was to prepare my coffee cups. I used the Honey Bee Coffee Break Dies and some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink mixed with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to give the appearance of iced coffee. I intentionally left the bottom of the color light to make it appear like the cream at the bottom of the cup. Nichol's video has great step by step instructions to achieve this look. I sprinkled water over the ink to make it look more realistic. For the foam at the top of the cup I used a Snow Marker to give a puffy foamy effect and I love how it turned out!.

Once I knew where I wanted the placement of the coffee cups I placed my card front into my Mini MISTI stamping tool and stamped my sentiment from the Technique Tuesday Perk Up stamp set with Versafine Black Onyx Ink. That is my favorite black ink for stamping sentiments because it stamps so crisp and dark! All that was left to do was to pop the coffee cups up on some foam tape and add some fun red hearts.

Thank you for joining me today, make sure you try this technique on your own coffee cups and watch Nichol's video for some helpful tips!

Have a great today, I already am!

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties June 2021 New Release Rewind!

Today I'm showcasing the brand new stamp sets and matching dies from Paper Sweeties called

This set features the most adorable gnome car that you can customize by coloring or paper piecing with some fun paper!

These stamp sets pair so well with last month's Build a Gnome stamp and die set and the Photoplay 6x6 patterned paper pack and Cardstock Ephemera.

Here is a picture of the new stamp set and matching dies that are available in the Paper Sweeties Shop!

For today's card I used one of the adorable Gnomes from last month's Build a Gnome stamp and die set and I put her behind the wheel of the super cute Gnomebug from Keep Calm and Gnome On! I'm not quite sure how she can see since her hat is over her eyes but we're just gonna go with it!

I love how this card came out! There is something so adorable about this little Gnomemobile! I love how the die cuts out the window so you can see inside the car!
The sentiment is a mix between this month's stamp set and the

Coffee with Friends!

Hello coffee lovers and welcome back to my blog! Today I am up on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog and I have a treat to share with you!

The Colorado Craft Company has a set of coffee loving mice and they are just too cute! The talented artist Anita Jeram has designed some new stamp sets for them and she draws the most whimsical characters! You might recognize her name as she is the talented artist who illustrated the popular children's book Guess How Much I Love You and many others!

My card today features a darling image from the Colorado Craft Company's stamp set titled
Coffee House. If you are familiar with Jeram's artwork you will recognize her whimsical style in these images. There are also dies to match these images but I did not use them for my card.

Aren't those mice just the cutest! I just love how excited they are over that cup of coffee. I imagine after Covid many of us would be excited to have coffee with friends again in person!
Here is a picture of that sweet stamp set.

I made my own stencil for this card using the Distressed Edge Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness.
I cut the third largest die from that set out of some stencil material and placed the negative piece over a piece of watercolor paper. Then I took Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and did some quick watercoloring over the panel. Once it dried I removed the stencil and had the distressed edge design perfectly masked off.

After the panel was completely dry I placed it into my MISTI and stamped the image and sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx ink a few times. The watercolor paper was very textured and thick so I had to stamp a few times to get a good impression.  I popped the stamped panel on to an A2 size card base with some foam tape and the card was done. For a fun embellishment I glued one heart on to the coffee cup from the Trinity Stamps Coffee Bean Heart Sprinkle Mix. I just love that extra bit of character it adds!

Here is one more look at my card with the supplies used.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to have coffee with a friend soon!
Have a great day, I already am!
